I prefer two yards. I have a big head and bigger hair Also, I use hemming tape on my cut ends. You put the tape on and fold the material over it then iron it. It makes it flat and eliminates the need for sewing.
@@thelenahambrick I do cut the short side in half. So it's not as wide but I can keep the legnth. I like it to be long so that I don't I don't need to use anything to bump it up. And it makes two scarves instead of one. But I really enjoyed your video. And hemming tape will save your life if you don't sew
I just started buying fabric from Hobby Lobby for my head wraps and it is so inexpensive. Now I can get a variety of patterns. A yard is enough. Great video.
Using pinking shears on the cut edges will eliminate fraying, they are in the scissors section of Hobby Lobby, Joann's, Walmart or Target. Great tutorial & I lovvvved your print choices.

You can also use Fabric Tac (you can get it at craft stores or Walmart). Creates a permanent bond that won't wash out!

Tip: put leave in conditioner before your edge control. This will eliminate any flakiness and help moisterize.
