- Faye is bullied by Lindsay Hayward for being adopted. Anna notices that Faye is more withdrawn and on checking her computer, finds evidence of bullying and promptly takes it to the school. Headmaster Brian Packham takes it seriously, but worries, when he discovers the bully's identity, as Lindsay's grandmother, is head of the board of governors. He then tries to dismiss it as childish pranks, leading Anna to remove Faye from school. Knowing what would be expected if the bully was any other child, Brian reports it and Lindsay is suspended. Brian asks Faye to give the school another chance on the promise that Lindsay will be closely watched, which she does.

Lindsay’s gran actually handled the situation quite well. She was quick to the point and made sure Lindsay is punished fairly.

I wish more parents of bullies were like Lindsay’s grandma and actually taking responsibility for their kid’s actions and having them apologize rather than the parents ignoring it and thinking that they’re not the problem.

To be honest we need more people like Lindsay’s grandmother. She actually punishes her if she’s bullied someone not take her side. Especially after Faye punched her you’d think the grandmother might take her side but she didn’t.

Kids can be little shits sometimes bullying each other and picking on each other but yeah i do feel bad for Faye i was bullied in school and it isn't a nice experience at all.
I must say Brian seemed pretty relaxed and blarze when Anna told him that Faye was being bullied instead of nipping it in the bud immediately.
Mind you, I suppose it shows how the schools hands are tied legally. Teachers can't just steam in there and make accusations without real evidence. They have to do things through the proper chanells however boring and irritating it may be.
Brian can be downright usless like most head masters. I was bullied worse than that and the head master of my school did fxxk all, most teachers could'nt care less .
They wouldn't bully Faye if Gary turned up he would bully them.
