I think it's important to look past this year. Zach Martin is either going to retire or be forced out because he costs too much, so really you have three players (Brock, TJ and Cooper) that need to cover two positions long term. Also, if Guyton doesn't work out, you will have to move Tyler to LT (at least for a while) and you will have to cover him until you get a replacement whereby you need all three of those guys. My guess is this is a year of getting up to speed and creating flexibility for all three and then based on how things go this year they will get in their long term positions for 2025 and beyond. This year is about getting all 3 to a high NFL level and building flexibility.
Tyler Smith is our best lineman for sure right now!

I was thinking that Beebe was here to takeover for Martin, who probably won't be here next year. Beebe did really well as a guard in college. Oh, and Voch, Hoffman did play center in the Arizona game last year...

Competition at every spot is always good. We have great competitiion at C/G best we've had in awhile. Steele has some serious competition. If he still struggles Richards has a full offseason of peanut butter. Thomas the T we drafted late may get in on the T competition. Our quality depth is pretty good across the O.L. Some said it was more Solari changing Steele than Steele being hurt, Guess we will see. Ideally we have Guyton, Smith, Beebe, Martin and Steele/Richards im no coach but i would think that is our best 5. If Guyton can be really consistent with his run blocking that will be a big help to the O.L.He is going to have his moments like every player. A good run game helps the O.L. as much as it does the pass game.

On the other hand, if Hoffman IS actually better, more power to him. But if we wind up going with a lesser player bcuz Solari fell in love, f that.

The Cowboys were notably weak at the running back position. They could have drafted a running back, but drafted Beebe. Keep your eye on Solari, Voch. I hear what you're sayin', because last year's O-line was not strong blocking for the run with Brock at center. New blood and a big ass body. Time will tell!
If brock is better you play brock. Play n simple. If beebe is better you play beebe. Brock has been puttin in the work. Ya boi duke even said it. So Solari might be onto something

I think this is mostly just a sign Solari isn't spending his off season watching college tape, so Cooper and Guyton are unknown commodities to him. He knows TJ/Brock/Smith, so that's who he's going to talk about.

Solari was here since last offseason, so I don’t really see a problem with him talking like that. It’s not like he was just brought in, plus most coaches talk like they been part of the team for a long time, it’s part of they “buy in”.

The actual competition may be between Hoffman and Terrence Steele for who gets to be OL 5. Can you see them popping out Beebe to RT about a week before opening game? I'd bet money that today, much less Sept, Beebe is better at C than Hoffman and better at RT than Steele.

Swear, Cowboys Nation gets so bored in the offseason and starts drinks Kool Aid on a particular player and then gets all worked up over him. EVERYONE was drinking Terrence Steele koolaid last offseason, got so outraged when it was speculated he could get kicked inside to guard. Then he was one of the worst tackles in the NFL last year. Now everyone is drinking Beebe koolaid because they liked his highlights against Iowa State and Baylor. We don't know anything about this dude as an NFL player. Relax and let the competition play out.

You’re tripping, mistaken, and any other word saying you’re wrong. At least wait for any actual proof before putting this view out. If anything was true, Tyler Biadasz would’ve lost his job easily. Everyone knows Cooper Beebe is way more talented at the position. Once everyone sees how different Beebe is physically and mentally, there won’t be any questions on who is Starting and playing with Group 1. Brock Hoffman and TJ Bass will just be very solid backup olinemen. No one is beating T.Guyton either. A 1st Rounder with his talent and desire won’t be beat. Next time, can there actually be physical proof before speculating unnecessarily? The Fan Base has too many negative people already. Don’t need anymore over nothing.
