Congratulations!! Bravo!! Wonderful interpretation. Wonderful bass strings. It's my favorite guitar song. Bravo! Best regards from BRZ. São Paulo State. Santos City. 🎶🎻
Me gustó.
Saludos desde México! when the camera aims his hands I can't help imagining Dracula playing the guitar... I'm the only one?... he plays great in any case, I wish like to play like that.
A lot of people play it well. But, I listen for expression. Feeling. Temperament. This was very nice. Maybe a little, little bit rushed, but nice. Listen to Christopher Parkening's version to see what I mean.
Well to be totally fair, the concept of a 10 string guitar is based on the principles of sympathetic resonance, so it's more like something based on a piano...
Have we to bear in mind, that this intrumento, serious as a guitar and some kind of mas, therefore, is not the same thing that a guitar, is understood?
@@spartacus8027 It's obvious that here hand size matters but only if you want to play with the same fingering. If you hear the music only, you don't know if the player have long or sort fingers
Wonderful guitarist with fingers that were made for playing the guitar. I could see that you were putting a lot of emotion into this beautiful piece by the genius composer Francisco Tarrega. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with the rest of us.
It's a guitar with sympathetic strings. These aren't played directly, but vibrate and resonate while playing the other strings, and give an "echoing" sound. Though this guitar is relatively "djent" because it has 8 strings instead of the usual 6 (2 additional bass strings).
Lovely played anyway maestro....But is the camera angle or His fingers are unbumanly long.
Saludos
pretty sure this thing is just one of many varieties of harp guitars I've seen. the strings with no frets beneath are likely used as tunable bass notes like on other harp guitars, and this piece just so happens to be a 6 string guitar piece.
Try Googling Laudarra or Bartolex Guitars. I play a Bartolex 10 string classical which works well for me. Just know there's much controversy as to what the best tuning is for those instruments. Also be prepared to learn a few things about the guitar you could never know if you continued to play 6 strings only.
From Jose' Sepulveda.......my word!!!!!.......you guys are right about those incredible hands........it's what Vladimir Horowitz would look like if he had decided to become a guitarist instead of a pianist......
14 string guitar, you can play directly from the lute sheet notes, without transcribing a single note. The major instrument companies should be making 14 strings guitars as a comercial line.
Sounds good, but the "sympathetic" string create a feel of too much reverb. But I like this version overall. He plays it well, I would like to hear him do it on a normal guitar.
As a pianist, I'd KILL for those hands. I don't think there's a single instrument that wouldn't benefit from hands like that. Violists are dying in envy right now ...
This is the most beautiful rendition of this piece - without the often heard "Gassenhauer" effect - and with perfect mastery of the resnonances. This guitar really makes sense - the hole relegated to the upper bout, thus rendering the top more sturdy without the need of a stronger and stiffer top ... so thoughtful!
This is an interesting interpretation, but not in my favorites. It is for sure well played but in too many occasions it is flat, quite "metronome". From 1:46 to 2:00, for example. Tempo is too constant, there is too few expression in many parts. Portamento is not right, IMHO. Also there is not so much "play" in this way of playing. It is a "capricho" that means "whim", so a little more up-down-expression mood should be painted... It seems more a Bach piece, sometimes. The instrument he's playing is amazing. Is there any fellow who can say something more about that ?
+Sergio Bonfiglio I think it may be a matter of taste and interpretation, like Pablo Casals vs Pierre Fournier on the cello. Don't you think? Anyway, it is lovely.
+Sergio Bonfiglio Mate you are a pretentious prat. Typical keyboard warrior. I am sure the musician knows more about Tarrega's musical intentions than you, and he played it here almost exactly as he (Anders) intended. His right! If you don't like it, fair enough, but move on to another more favourable version. Your comment here might lose sales. Believe me. there are very few fortunes being made in classical guitar arena.
WOTTAHELL ? "Pretentious prat" ? "Your comment here might lose sales" ? Am I reading right ? So one's should not express his/her thoughts because "it may loose sales" for the publisher of the video ? Really, madhouses are going to be useless, 'cuz all the sick poeple are around, down in the streets, writing onto youtube comments... ROFLMAO
You can wake me up in the middle of the night to listen to this! Touches the heart, so beautiful!

Excelente punto!
Beautifully played.
Stunning performance! Bravissimo, Maestro !!!!!!!
PRECIOSO, SUBLIME.... SENCILLAMENTE HERMOSO.
Beautiful finger positioning, and so very good lucking ones. It's kind'a pleasure to listen to a piece, and to see that it's well played.
He uses different fingering in a chromatic run than Tarrega and me. But same notes of course.
Hermosa composición de F. Tárrega..
great dynamics and tone
Belleza Extrema.
Simply beautiful!
Great playing! And great guitar!
sounds like a legend.
Can't come back again.
life is a myth.
life is memories of You and Me !
Excellent. Beautiful example of the luthier's art as well.
Excelente interpretación.
molto bello!!!
Maravigliosa !
AMAZING MIRACLE
when the camera aims his hands I can't help imagining Dracula playing the guitar... I'm the only one?... he plays great in any case, I wish like to play like that.
respectful and precise ...
He is great...
Superboo
The guitar is strange looking but I came here for good music so I was satisfied thumbs up , Bravo!!
Master!
amazing!!
Nicely played, Mr. Spider.
Stefano Trazzi Bene! e molto, molto incantevole amici Italiani! Il conoscenti!
Great

Bello
Nice playing indeed!
Forgive my ignorance but what instrument is that?
I counted 13 strings. It must be a ++ variation of the guitar conceived and played by Narciso Yepes. Wow
Well to be totally fair, the concept of a 10 string guitar is based on the principles of sympathetic resonance, so it's more like something based on a piano...
eschelar its based on the teorba
😍
¿Que tipo de guitarra es eso?
Amazingly played, you can feel the emotions coming out of his subtle touch. Sooo good!
Nice
Anders. One question. Were you born into a rich family? Just wondering.
Mestro
Dudes got spider hands.
Have we to bear in mind, that this intrumento, serious as a guitar and some kind of mas, therefore, is not the same thing that a guitar, is understood?
why so many strings!?
his pinky is longer than my middle finger xD and people always tell me i have long fingers :P
It almost feels like natural selection.. That pinky is not normal, it evolved just to play this song.
Yes his hands are amazing...wish I had them..might improve my classical guitar playing
@@spartacus8027 It's obvious that here hand size matters but only if you want to play with the same fingering. If you hear the music only, you don't know if the player have long or sort fingers
Beautifull what a weird guitar
I think it'd be pretty hard with his right hand nails
I know! They kinda look like alien fingers... kinda wish I had them

Que música linda! Que ela execução! A erudição é divina!
The clean and pure quality of the tone is impressive. You can hear each and every single note cleanly and with just the right amount of resonance.
3:57 soul crushing, when u play that part, when the soul finally lets go, i knew it was not just me, judging by his face when he played it :D
He's looking wrong kind of genre here. not meant to be a march music tho. He didn't get the soul of the original song.
Wth with that guitar? does it Djent?
Pixels! What does it mean to djent?
megabro Djent is when the guitar/bass reaches exaggerated low notes, there are many videos explaining it :)
Shit get down from there mr. high horse.
It's okay to appriciate metal and fransisco at the same time.
***** All good!
- I would probably have noticed the joke if i had taken my time to realize your name had Taproot in it. :D \m/ Rock on man!

2:21 Yes, Sir. We felt that too.

Very nicely done. But, why is it that every time I hear some one else play it, the timing is different.
Probably the best version of this piece in the UA-cam.
che splendido musicista, che splendido suono, che splendido strumento...
poi mi prendono in giro perchè ho una chitarra elettrica a 8 corde...
From Jose' "Timo" Sepulveda.........Anders Miolin is as fine aguitarist as anyone will ever hear
pretty sure this thing is just one of many varieties of harp guitars I've seen. the strings with no frets beneath are likely used as tunable bass notes like on other harp
guitars, and this piece just so happens to be a 6 string guitar piece.
ANDERS MOLIN DEBES VENIR A FORMAR PARTE DEL GABINETE DE PEÑA NIETO;ESTOY SEGURO QUE TE HARIAS RICO YA QUE TIENES LAS UÑAS MUY LARGAS.
I want a guitar like this, if I am ever worthy of such a beast. Excellent musicianship, this man has. To play a 13 string classical guitar....
Try Googling Laudarra or Bartolex Guitars. I play a Bartolex 10 string classical which works well for me. Just know there's much controversy as to what the best tuning is for those instruments. Listening to You, I realized that good play is something else than technical perfection. Thank you
I just found this video, and after reading the comments, I have to say that the majority appear to me to be pretentious and haughty
From Jose' Sepulveda.......my word!!!!!.......you guys are right about those incredible hands........it's what Vladimir Horowitz would look like if he had decided to become a guitarist instead of a pianist......

Sounds good, but the "sympathetic" string create a feel of too much reverb. But I like this version overall. He plays it well, I would like to hear him do it on a normal guitar.
I practice this song every day with the aim of getting to this standard. This man is the benchmark!
As a pianist, I'd KILL for those hands. I don't think there's a single instrument that wouldn't benefit from hands like that. Violists are dying in envy right now ...
Wonderful performance - and great sound with the extra strings resonating
Look at the size of those hands! They make that huge guitar look likes it's being played (beautifully I might add) by a giant.
@OOhhhYeahh100 I think you are absolutely correct, those hands were a gift and Miolin has put them to the best possible use.
guitar players should take note of how he uses vibrato to emote almost the way a violin or cellist would achieve it
Guitar is so interesting. He played perfect. But, in my opinion, voice of the guitar is so artificial!
Wonderful interpretation and great tone precision!
Whew.....look at his eyes......you can see the emotion
Incredible! The dynamics, the ornaments, he got it all... I'm really impressed.
Intrigued with the instrument. Wondered what the free strings are tuned to without frets behind.
DAMN .. look at his finger.... it's almost as if they were made to play guitar...
