I've recently discovered that despite the fact I know nothing about the animes or games all this cosplay stuff is based on, that I like it. Mostly for two reasons. The first is the skill and attention to detail required to build the costumes and the second, more important reason, is all the cute girls. Lol. Girls weren't openly interested in this nerd stuff when I was growing up. However, I suspect that one of the reasons for all the cute girls(and probably pretty boys, too) is that there are ways to make money doing this, similar to modeling contracts or sponsorships, and that it's not being done for the sheer love of the art. Can anyone clue me in how this all works?
