"wow" enough said. Whenever I listen to music, I'm listening to primarily Tool. No matter how many times i listen to their music, I always feel the wow❤ best band ever.
I know that feeling bro, I can't believe I slept on 10,000 days for so long, I thought it was one of their weaker albums but I am in love with it atm
Ha ! Same. I listen to other music but, I need deeper...back to TOOL !
@@nznige that's my husband's second favorite album! He introduced me to Tool and made me a monster lol
@@kennethalbert4653 word!!! Nothing hits the same.
The climax of this song is just mind blowing.....and to think about the fact that this song is not even in the top 10 of Tool's catalogue to most hardcore fans!!!!
That, "instrument," was a Gibson Les Paul guitar played by Adam Jones, through a talk box effect peddle. The talk box effect was made popular by Peter Frampton in the 1970's.
And the talk box is lowered from the sky during their concerts...so cool!!
Some truly understand how amazing they are having only 1 guitarist, bassist, drummer, and singer.
That is really amazing
it (one player of each instrument) often means bands have to compensate in other ways, which TOOL does perfectly with its soundscapes and use of effects

Best band ever ❤
great tune and great reaction (I appreciate the no intro and seems like you dig the music a lot, hope your channel grows too!)
Keep this up. You letting your audience experience so much without all the stops is great.
THIS is how a song reaction should go. I am surprised you didnt have an intro, and didnt stop the song to leave thoughts. Kudos 🤙🏻
People like it when you give them want they want :) as long as I get likes comments and my channel grows I’ll keep giving the people what they want
@EclipsReactions Watch it with the lyrics !! For yourself... They're just amazing.
@@kennethalbert4653 WILL DO!!
saw them november last year. they played this song and instead of the talk box segment alex lifeson came out and played that bit with his guitar. it was wild. won't ever get to see that again.
I was at both of those Toronto shows too! The best part was the Passage to Bangkok tease!
Every bit of Carey's percussion is either regular western drums or Mandala programmable pads
When you ask “what is it?” Its power. The power that comes from deep inside, blasting out thru the instruments.
Oh wow
32 year fan of Tool, no one else compares. My favorite band and the best band of my lifetime! Wait till you hear them in concert! Have you watched "Pneuma", Vic Firth cameras? You have to do it next if you haven't already. Cameras are on Danny Carey, Tool's drummer. It's one of the best videos on UA-cam.
Bet! I’ll check it out
@@EclipsReactions all doubt about who the greatest drummer alive is about to be removed...
**this instrument**
is dijiAdam via talkbox
The “instrument” is called a talk box. It is connected to Adam’s guitar, it amplifies sound through a driver, about as small as an earphone driver, into a tube which goes into his mouth and what you hear is the reverb (echo) of the guitar from his mouth into a microphone
That instrument is a guitar but he is using a talk box with it. It's hard to explain but if you search talk box on UA-cam, I'm sure you'll find someone showing you how it works and playing with it.
That crazy different guitar part they were using a talkbox with the guitar
Ah okay
Most rock and roll and modern music you hear on the radio is done in 4/4 time where there's 4 beats to a measure. Tool will sometimes use several different time signatures in a single song, which is what I think you're talking about not being able to catch 1. ;)
The Pot is a great song from Tool if you haven't heard that one yet. I think it's all in 4/4.
Great reaction!
Lyric videos or a separate window with lyrics is generally recommended for Tool.
Many more songs to go: Stinkfist, Schism, Lateralus, Forty-six & two, Hooker with a Penis, Aenima, Vicarious, Eulogy, Pushit, Sober, Wings for Marie, among others. 😂😉
Welcome to the ToolArmy!
They sure got some creative names 😂
@@EclipsReactions lol, yes they do
That instrument should be a voice box (may have other names), popularized by Frampton, Zap & Roger & Bon Jovi.
Just stumbled onto your channel. Subscribed. Great format.
The talk box works like a little closed box speaker cabinet that sends the guitar sound through a rubber hose up to the guitar players mouth. The sound is then controlled with the mouth ( just like talking ) in front of a microphone. Good shit.
Oh I see thx for the explanation
@@EclipsReactions Right on.
Glad I found you. Welcome to the spiral.
It's about his son Devo H Keenan (hint for another song) and how having him changed his life.
Ah I see, thank you!
Love your style, keep it up. Just be you.
Will do 🫡 thank you!
Most tool songs have a 3/4 feel but really 7/8 with moments of 4/4 when they wanna go hard.
No wonder its so hard to follow lol
I highly recommend Sober! Was my introduction to them back in 1993! I've been rocking with them ever since!
Jambi’s the tool-iest Tool! The heavy riff, polyrhythms, time sig, soaring vocals… Eight minutes goes by like three. All audio is guitar, bass, percussion, vocals… with a sh-ton of electronic effects and pedals, etc. They’re studio rats. Savants. There’s no shame pulling up the lyrics on your phone or something. But I love the true immersion you're doing. Let the lyrics seep in over time. It makes the song stronger and evolve naturally. “Eulogy” still takes my breath away.
Agree 100%. I know everyone is always screaming lyrics…I think it’s too much on a first listen. Enjoy the Sonic experience then if you want to dive into lyrics and meanings feel free to
For all of you wondering what is going on with that guitar solo. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk_box
Tool is the best, enjoy
He's using a guitar effect called a Talkbox. It's easier for you to look it up rather than me try to explain it.
The instrument is a talk box attached to an electric guitar
They have the lyrics in the description if your ever interested at checking out the lyrics
The tool army will always recommend having the lyrics to read along or have if you can't make them out. (message for the channel, surely you know that) ;)
Sounds like "Kolm" actually.
They have so many great songs, but if I suggested one, it would be 'Vicarious'. With '7empest' being next. Then 'Eulogy'. Hahahaha.
7empest is to much for someone who just started.
great reaction brother, would you be down for a collaboration?
You should start with The Pot. Next time!
I did 👀
all i can say about the members of tool is that they are not normal. that's all i can say.
More tool pls
Will do 🫡
ehhhhh tool army brut
Danny is more than “ a good drummer “
Best band ever❤
