26 weeks is insane. Can't believe i have been watching that long. Some people will end up binge watching all the episodes of this $1 house series, but just know that i have been watching weekly for all 26 weeks so far.
I appreciate you!!🥰❤️🙏🏼
@@TiaWestonsame here …. Everyone hush my show is on 🫢🥰🥰🥰🫶🏼
Same here and I don't know why it popped up in my suggestions.
Me too😊
A lot of people have
YOUR DAD DEFINITELY WINS FATHER OF THE YEAR!❤️
And best dressed with the rolled up overalls😊
Yep, my dad would offer to pay a contractor and then grumble about the cost. Im def WAY WAY handier than any man in my life - been a single mom for almost 20yrs and ive HAD to be.
I do remember to this day my Dad going to the store with me to get floorboards and putting them down with me in my home! That was years ago. We had a hoot together and good memories. He passed away three years ago but the memories are so happy! Seeing you work with your Dad brings tears to my eyes in a good way! 😊❤ Can't wait to see the kitchen tile down! ❤🎉🎉
I totally agree!! Dads are amazing!!
Bravo - yes he does!
My granddaughter said, when she grow up she going to be like you and buy a house and make it pretty.😊
🥹❤ that is so sweet! She can do it! 👑
My oldest grand daughter was 30 last October and she just bought their first house, that needs fixing up, but it was a lot more than a dollar😂! I don't think she'll be going as fast as you, because she is 12 weeks pregnant with her second & her older son will be three years old in November! Kids, kinda tend to bog things down😞...
I’d like to believe that the very first owners of this sweet little house would be so happy to see you restoring its beauty. ❤
✌️👍😊
I think about that too. They must be singing in Heaven.
😂 That cabinet has visited every room now! 😂
LOL, it's such a beast but will be so beautiful once it's fixed up.
The bathroom was unexpected, lol. So worth it, though - it's got such character. And at least it comes apart!
I know so many people look forward to this video but honestly it’s such a good feeling on a Sunday morning to brew a cup of coffee, sit on the couch all cozy and watch the $1 house Reno’s! Thank you for this series 🤍 you’re doing amazing!
Exactly what I am doing .
LOL, same!! Just had breakfast. I'm so invested in this!
@jodianne4619 I agree with you. I watch other types of renovations, but the feeling isn't the same. Tia gives us that cozy feel. Her joy is so enthusiastic.
@@elizabethfleck6536 she’s got such a calming, creative, and hardworking personality
I can’t wait until we all “move in” that’s how much I feel like we are a part of this, even just as viewers.
I've said it on multiple videos but I honestly love how your dad is assisting you instead of like telling you what to do like alot of dad's would.
House = $1 ...Memories of Bonding & Laughs with your Father = $Priceless
Hi Tia!! Incredible work so far. I know you had mentioned your doors need some TLC, just wanted to offer you a tip if you’re wanting to restore the hardware and hinges to their original patina. Buy a crockpot from the thrift store specifically for this project. Fill it up with half water, half white vinegar and a drop of dish soap (optional). Put the hardware in and let it boil for 4-5 hours. After that, the paint should come right off. I would always follow up with a nylon brush and bar keepers friend to get the old paint out of the cracks and crevices. Your old hardware will shine and the patina will look beautiful. I did this in a house from 1930 and there was layers of paint on the old hardware and hinges. They don’t look like they were ever painted. Just a tip! 🙂
Looking forward to next week! ❤
Have done the same, very worth it!
I’ve seen other UA-camrs doing this and the results are amazing
The man that sold you the house should be so proud of what you have achieved…Every time I watch I think of my dad who has been gone since I was 16 and I’m now 71 …Thankyou for giving me that memory …Love what you and your dad have …💜🇦🇺🦋
I don’t know about the rest of the subscribers but the fact that you used almost all the original doors and put in the beautiful trims with the doors, wow just stunning, the floors and everything I love your videos Tia. Your creativity and tenacity is an inspiration to me personally.
I imagine your dad is so proud to have such a kick ass daughter. You have done an excellent job on this house!!
Yes really kick ass! Lol
The trim looks amazing
And I'll bet your mom's proud, too! Everybody who loves you is proud, no doubt. Heck, I don't even know you, and I'm proud of you!
The way you two have trimmed the doors and windows is beautiful, very classy!
This is better than anything I ever saw on the HG channel--more real and an adorable, soft spoken hostess/worker who is bringing us along on this adventure.
One thing that really stands out about this channel is how good you are at project management! You are able to adapt to lack of materiel, changes in the weather, etc and keep moving forward.
These 6 months have flown by ! I can't believe I've been here since week one. So excited to see the final results but I also know I'll miss the little habit of watching these every week. Tia you really have brought a diverse and positive community together, I'm a 19 y/o from Belgium and I see people in the comments from everywhere. Keep up the amazing work !
Blown away by those floors! All the little imperfections give it so much character. Great job, Tia!
The difference you've made to the floors is incredible. Everything looks so bright now!
Your Dad is so awesome helping you through this build. I hope you buy him a nice dinner when it's done.
Or cook a nice dinner in her newly renovated home.
And get him a fresh new set of coveralls for his next project.
Trust me when I say, it is an equal exchange. I have no doubt in my mind that they both appreciate and value each other.💜
I actually like the discoloration in the floors decades of character 💜
i'm glad you picked up one of those platform things. my wife and i found it makes life a lot easier. we still don't know what the proper name is for those, so we just call ours Fred.
Fred 😂
Trim is beautiful.
I agree, I was so concerned about that old wooden ladder. This is much safer.
I love how you named yours Fred! LOL so adorable & such a sturdy Handyman name.😅
😂😂😂😂😂
I started watching this in my first trimester now I’ve 7 weeks left. Thanks for keeping me company.
Mack from Midwest Magic Cleaning gave Tia a shout out and I got here week 10. I binged the first 10 weeks and I was hooked. I wish I would have had this opportunity at Tia's age.
I came here from Mack too!
My only complaint about your videos is that I wish they were longer! I could watch them for hours!
I really enjoy them and you have done an amazing job!!
I miss the longer videos. You’re doing an amazing job! You know your dad is now all of our dad now right? Can’t wait for next weeks video! 😂❤🎉
I love the old school trim so much. it looks so much better than the cheap modern trim people use now.
10 am est on a Sunday means only one thing for me… it’s Tia Time! ❤
🥰❤️❤️
@@TiaWestonbtw it was really cool seeing the before and after pictures!
When I say I have enjoyed the 1$ house transformation wow just wow! Girl you can do anything! Such an inspiration! Your dad has been so supportive and helpful! To see him there with you every step of the way is a blessing! Happy Sunday! I’ve never been so proud of a stranger!🙏🏾🙌🏾❤
“Turn on notification bell”. Are you kidding me? We who have been with you from the start don’t need a notification bell because once we’ve watched this week, we are clamoring for next week’s episode. 😁💛
I also watch a gardening gal and on Sunday morn I have to flip a coin to see which one I'll watch 1st. It's too hard to decide who. lol
This project started during my first week of college... these weekly uploads have helped more than I could've ever expected them to during my first semester. They've certainly gotten me through some rough patches.
26 weeks later, I'm about a quarter of the way through my second semester. I've watched this channel and community blow up, and have seen countless stories just like mine about how these videos have helped and entertained so many.
Thank you for the absolute gift that has been this series, Tia. Thanks for not changing too much, even with the growing success, and keeping true to what made so many people fall in love with this project.
I look forward to whatever is to come with this channel after this house is complete
You’re doing incredible work but I think my favorite thing about this channel is you have such good taste in music. Makes it so easy and enjoyable to watch.
I always love the natural wood tone and no one ever keeps it. It looks sooo good.
This project is a great example of the power love has to transform. The before and after views show just how much love you have for this house. I’m excited to see the final result!
Tia you and your dad are built exactly the same…so cute to watch you both!
The floors look like maple? I'm jealous of your father. Semi retired general contractor. My daughter's a doctor. Never see her. She's too busy. Would have loved to do a project with her.
Maple is my very favorite wood. Its so gorgeous!
Simply.....AMAZING Tia!!!! Well done! Cheers to you and your million dollar dad! So proud of you!
I agree, the million dollar dad, the $1 dollar house and the priceless Tia!
it's 11pm here in Kuala Lumpur. I stay up to watch you Tia ❣️
Thank you for the support!!❤️❤️
The amount of changes in that little house is amazing. Even when it was brand new, it never looked as good as what you're making it. The details are fantastic. Great job.
I Can't wait until you're all done.
One thing that would be really interesting is to have a real estate agent tour your house to see how much value you’ve added. It is absolutely incredible what you have done and I enjoy these videos very much.
She'll find that out when she get insurance. Or when the tax man cometh. 🙃
My favorite part is watching your design choices, the house is looking amazing!
Considering how many people’s experience of working with their father is “hold the flashlight still”, you and your father are amazing together. 😊
Tia, you know those tiny x’s all over the plywood floors? Each X is supposed to have a screw to stabilize the floor before tiling. This prevents too much flexibility and ultimately, cracking. Just trying to save you cracked tiles. Everything is looking great!
This is the earliest I’ve ever been 😅, I look forward to these every Sunday before work!!
It'd be so cool to see the previous owner's reaction when the house is complete. Love this series, I get together with my friends and we watch it together every Sunday morning.
Happy Sunday Tia! I absolutely love your before & after of your $1 house! It's coming along very nicely and I absolutely love your hardwood floor so much! I can't wait for episode 27 next week! Have a wonderful & blessed Sunday Tia!! 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵
Thank you!! Happy Sunday!🙏🏼💓
Almost time for the $2 house series
This is the first time I’ve noticed how wonderfully bright your home is on a clear day….and how warm the terra-cotta paint looks in contrast to the icy blue outside the windows. Really a perfect choice. Floors are spectacular!
When I woke up this morning and realized it was Sunday…”The $1 house video is released today”! I grabbed a coffee and watched your video.😊 There is something wholesome about these videos. You and your Dad work very well together and are doing a fantastic job! I think my favourite is the trim around the windows and doors. Really nice look.
Did anyone else try to catch the Hoosier cabinet when it tipped? Lol. I almost knocked my pad over. Those floors, wow!
Yes!!!😂
yep!
Me too!
I am so hopeful that the economy turns around so that more young people have an opportunity to be home owners.
The trims make the house look so awesome and the bedroom green with that natural tone is to die for
Very nicely done, "easy" at 10:57 cracked me up.
A special thank you from Keira, Kipper, Sasha, Maizy, Iris, Archie, and Chloe. Me and my pack snuggle on "the big bed" every Sunday morning. . .I get to enjoy your video and they each get a bully stick! You have done an amazing job.💜🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
how beautiful!
man i've been here since week 3 it's insane to see the difference! in my opinion the bedroom has by far the most different vibe from the beginning to now, it doesn't just look like a different room it FEELS like a different room! im gonna miss this series when it's done!
I literally stared at the clock waiting patiently till 17:00 for you to post 😂❤
I love this series so much I look forward to it every Sunday ❤
Much love from south africa ❤
Love how this is turning out. It may be because of the lighting or how you present it, but I think think your bedroom trim stands out a bit more! When I was working do odd jobs during summer there was a older lady that had a house built in the 1890s. Some of it had been renovated but the window right behind her bed let cold drafts in during the winter. She got on the bed and held up the trim around the opening and a put caulking around it. We had to do the same for the back door. She said it made a huge difference!
Thank you so
Much for caring for the birds, especially in the winter months. ❤
Daddy Daughter overalls, love it. Great team!
Old, retired RN...I love Ur vlogs... I am enjoying watching Ur journey!!! Ur doing an awesome job honey!!!
I can’t believe it’s been TWENTY-SIX weeks of your $1 house. You weren’t even on my radar before that, and now my Sunday morning coffee isn’t complete without $1 house video. Your dad and you work so great together. The house is looking good. The floors are beautiful. I love the character and charm that you kept throughout the house. The art studio wall cupboard, the square floor patch in the “T” and now, the rusty staple holes in the art studio. I love that you have honored the age of your home. Thanks for sharing it with me, with all the world! 😊
That strip of wood in the art studio stained from the nails / staples actually looks kinda neat, gives extra character and interest to the floor.
Wow! Tia, you’ve managed to completely capture the unique character of this house. The “flaws” in the floors truly add to that character. At first I thought the square in the living room would bother me a lot if it was my floor, but now I see why you didn’t want to change it. It’s part of the history of this house and you made the right call to keep it. Same in the art studio with the stains from the staples. You brought out the unique and imperfect beauty of these floors. ❤❤❤
Honestly I think only someone like you could see the spirit of this house.
You are definitely killing it gurl!! I have been watching since the beginning and if you got this home for $1 and only put $30k or $40k into materials (and lots and lots of your own time as well as your dad’s time) I would think you have built some serious equity into this home. It’s looking really good! Give your Dad a big hug for his help.

Thank you, Tia.
❤❤❤❤
I bought my own house 🏠 at your age 35 years ago for 82000 in south Minneapolis. I redid the floors like you, I reputty and painted the existing 36 wooden windows ugh. Put new wooden framing around existing windows (had help!!), installed new kitchen cabinets. Added insulation to the attic, landscape, etc. I loved learning and doing stuff myself when I could figure it out. I sold the when I got married. I can tell you love doing stuff yourself and seeing your accomplishments. It was a wonderful experience. I enjoy watching you now. It is fun for an older gal. Great job ❤You are an inspiration for all the young women. Love 💗
Coming along great! You and your Dad do great work. Hope you have a happy home by this summer!
Tia love the style of the architrave around windows and doors. The terracotta colour in your living area makes it looks so warm and inviting. The bathroom is so out there with the flowered wallpaper...it's so cool. Love, love love.
You can never stop a woman with a dream! Such a wonderful job you are doing.
The transformation is incredible. I think that it is awesome that you are able to personalize every part of the house to make it what you want it to be. I love the fact that you and you dad are doing this together. I would be honored to help my daughter work on a project such as this (I have helped all 3 of my kids work on their houses over the past few years, but no projects like this). I can't wait to see what you do next week.
The transformation is amazing. To see how far you've come is such a privilege. Thank you for sharing your journey from house to home with us, Tia. This beautiful home is going to be amazing and bring you so much joy for years to come. I'm so excited for when you get to finally move in!
That random square is probably where a floor furnish was. I have a place like that in my living room floor but it is covered with carpet now.
You are now add to my must watch list one of my favorite UA-camr
Your Father seems like such a kind person.
I’ve done all my own DIY. You move stuff, clean stuff, move it again, clean again…it’s never ending…
…Dad, a hair to the left, that’s good. You, I didn’t move it. Lol I knew you were going to say that before you did. I love your channel been watching since the Beginning. The time with your dad is priceless. 💕
I never clicked so fast on a video. 😊
You made me so nervous by that opening 12:59 but glad you are more aware of your surroundings than I am!
I've said it before and i'm going to say it again, I absolutely LOVE the way you do your doors/windows surrounds. Your home is coming so close to completion. You and your dad have done a fantastic job, you must be so pleased and proud of what you have accomplished. Stay safe🤗🇬🇧
You are such an amazing young lady! I was watching another video and the young girl on there said…..oh I can’t do that…I am a girl!!! I hate girls/women saying they can’t do something because they are female!
You get in there and get it done! And you do it beautifully!!
Your house is beautiful!
I LOVE the trim! The floors look so amazing! You and your dad have done such a great job! Can't wait to see the kitchen being done!!!!
Really love your style. I started buying and renovating old houses in the 70’s that I lived in. I upgraded price slightly every time I sold and moved. I had a full time job too. Mortgages then were any where from 8-12 %. I finally was able to own a home with no mortgage. Back then wallpaper was trendy. I have very limited use of my right arm due to polio. I always called myself the one armed paper hanger😂
Good for you! That is impressive and wonderful. No mortgage too is a thing of beauty.
When your charming home is finished, I hope you find another renovation project. I don't want it end.
I feel like you need a before, DURING, and after because the middle where there's no drywall or flooring (like in the bathroom) are part of what makes the transformation so impressive!
I absolutely love your bathroom.
I have to say, your dad stole the show in this episode. Those overalls with the legs folded up with socks is a real bold statement. 😂
Looks Wonderful- really enjoying the transformation ❤
The panic I felt when you were moving that cabinet into the bathroom! You and your dad are doing a great job on your house.
Great music sync with nailing work at around 2:00 📻🎼👍
For the door threshold, it’s common in New England to use a piece of white marble. They sell them in the home centers or tile shops.
Yaaayyy🎉 it's Sunday 😊
When I first started watching your channel on this house, I was wishing I was there to lend a hand - but you don’t need much help at all. Super well done, looks amazing ❤️
It’s coming together so beautifully, it’s really inspiring me to begin a project like this one day! 🏡🔨
I screamed out loud when you and your dad were moving the hutch into the bathroom. The doors of the hutch swung open and I thought everything was going to fall onto your vanity . That was nerve-racking! 😂
Looking forward to your Sunday posts. God bless!
Tia, the house is looking absolutely PHENOMENAL. Those floors!!! Oh my goodness, I cannot believe how far you've come, SO inspiring!!
Congratulations on your house 🏠 and enjoy your time there 😀 👍
I think it really cool that you and your dad doing this together…. These are memories that you will cherish for the rest of your life ❤
Good morning Tia....❤❤❤
What a transformation, it's coming out so beautiful 😍. ❤❤❤
Good morning! 🙏🏼❤️
