I have an '09 esv platinum and I only average 12-13mpg and it isn't built to last. A lot of the piano black window trim is fading, the widow frame is loose and creates horrible wind noise, the drivers side door handle fell off, the rear parking assist doesn't work anymore, the tire pressure monitor constantly needs to be serviced, and worst of all it keeps getting keyed by eco-friendly hipsters. I hope my warranty covers all these problems, the truck is amazingly comfortable and offers a ton of

But I notice that when you were pointing out some of the features inside of this magnificent SUV, I noticed that on your left hand you were wearing a watch, and it looks good, and I have been looking for a watch that looks good and does a good job. Can you tell me what type of watch it is, and maybe where I can get me one. Will appreciate it.

@TheDulceCandy16 On my dads Tahoe LTZ, there is a button on the bottom of the front middle panel..but on the Cadillac, I dont see one
Wait, if this Escalade Platinum was a "loaner", what do you drive as your regular transportation? They don't give out "loaner" Escalade's! Pretty awesome anyhow...
@iPhoneAppReviewer amenities and I highly recommend it but still for $90,000 things shouldn't be going wrong that fast after 16,000 miles.
you can bypass the security system that shuts off the movie in the front. sometimes the person in the front wants to watch a movie too :) (passenger not driver lol)

I don't get they have both screens on the back seat and one roof screen in the front. If the backseat screens could link up with the roof screens then wouldn't that make the front roof screen useless? Also does it automiatically switch between V8 and V4 or do you have to manually change it?

@caddyman07 My regular transportation is a Nissan Rogue or Honda Accord. For the media, car manufacturers do have "loaner" programs (which I disclose my participation on, on my blog).
The difference between Escalade and Escalade ESV is that the trunk space is 2 feet lager than the normal Escalade.
This car is fuckin sick period.

@kdlove80 Seems like a common issue with these Escalades interior only holds up a few yrs then turns to crap. Great vehicle to rent on trips but a poor vehicle to buy given its short life span and $90K pricetag..
@iPhoneAppReviewer No, I read your comment just fine. You should read a few more books pertaining to the automotive industry. "Piano black" is a term usually referring to INTERIOR trim. Not a window mold or ANYTHING on the exterior of a vehicle. AGAIN: Try again.

Escalade needs a new interior! this one is 6 years now since it's last update! The SRX is way nicer inside even tho it's not as big!

That center cluster for radio/climate control/etc. needs some style work. The rest of the dash looks great, but then they just gave up on the center and put in something from a base-line Chevy.

@caddyman07 Sorry, it seems you have misunderstood what I was referring to in my comment. The area I was describing is the frame around the door windows, and if you look at the windows of any Escalade (07+) you will see what I am talking about. It is a glossy black finish, which I refer to as piano black. I think you should take a look at my comment again, maybe seek reading glasses because I was not referring to the interior trim.

I may be from the hood but I don't conduct myself in the "hood" manner. You are the one that looks a fool right now. What I stated still stands. I have played the piano since I was four years old and have owned three. I am 28 now. Shows you how "hood" of a household I grew up in. Anyhow, like I said. Piano black is an interior trim finish.
