Shí naashá Navajo (Diné) Beauty Way Chant.
Lyrics translate:
“We are walking a path of beauty--
We are happy, we are free”.
This traditional song was composed in 1868 to commemorate the
release of the Navajo people from captivity in New Mexico, and the return to their homeland in
Northern Arizona.
Recording Location: Cugulhou Levant, Rennes-les-Bains is an ancient site with megaliths, petroglyphs and carved ritual circles.
