Thanks. I played around with my airbrush today on a very small ship. Trying to make it look old and worn. Considering I’ve never used one before, I did okay 😃. I took a cheap sailboat kit for a start. I’m trying to make it into the Dying Gull (featured in the last Pirates of the Caribbean movie. I definitely will use it to soften some areas on The Black Pearl! Nothing major, probably a dusting of flat black in some of the corners and the anchors…. It’s good for making shading. Sorry to ramble 🤣. I do appreciate your following along 👍

I had a viewer suggest it and ordered one on Amazon on sale for under $30 that has high recording resolution…. I’ll save it probably for the final segment…. The Black Pearl All Sealed Version. I just ordered the endoscopic camera! Amazon had a lightening deal for a wifi 1080p resolution for both viewing and video recording! I picked it up for under $30 and justified it for the higher resolution! THANKS FOR THE SUGGESTION. I’ll use it on the final video when I show the entire ship! I really appreciate you taking the time to correspond 👍🏴☠️
The part of the ship where is the body on the side looks pretty cool when is not covered. I’m getting the idea. Make the side way I can take of from ship if I want to. And put back I can put there small magnets 1mm so they can holding the body side on the place if I want to see completely model assembled. Also this way I can change the battery inside. Also if I use 2xAAA batteries I don’t need the resistors. And the battery box I can make like sarcophagus / box where could be gold I can make the box with gold… where I can have batteries and change them when I need it 😀
It’ll take a lot of talent to succeed with attaching magnets to close and open the open side! I just turn mine around to show the other side which is closed.
@@BoilerDan1 I’m doing the models from Battlestar Galactica. All on the UA-cam I can see all people which doing the models they have there resistors for decreasing the power and then they doing 12V power. I don’t understand… then model looks not good because wires going out of the model. Is easy way to put there battery pack mask them and make accessible for changing batteries. 😃
@@BoilerDan1 is simple I think 😅 When model kit is assembled. Is the side of the model opened? If yes. I can buy some Woden strips from web site which you sent me. which are compatible with model strip size thin. What size is the strips on the model thin 0.6mm? And I can cut them exactly like is the hole on the boat. And last thing glue the magnets on there 😀

When you’re finished, you could get an endoscopic camera and move through the ship hatches and lower decks.
Trying to keep costs down! But yes, that would give interesting views!

Sounds like you understand the electrical part! It’s a lot more wires than I thought it would be!

I’m not at home for a couple of weeks to check measurements of wooden planks… But yes, you can buy them from several sources.
