Michael’s skills as a DP have given life to so many films, but it’s always exciting to see his own visions come to fruition ❤️ And what visions they are!
Thanks Julia!!
From the intimate closeups of the base camp to the vast landscape shots of the unknown planet, this was such a pleasure to watch!!!
Thank you so much!
Michael Sparks never fails to amaze me. Best short yet from an incredibly talented writer/director!
Thank you so much!
@@michaelhsparksshorts Ive never heard of you, but wow impressive, I actually that SAME CAMERA you have, i need to get a DJI for it so i can move it around easier for shots like what you do.
Fantastic! Incredible work, everyone!

Awesome!

Amazing work. Do you use the sirui 24mm for most shots?
This is the best thing since sliced bread
Thank you!!
What editing software u use? Wer did u find does text fonts? Or they come with the program?
This reminded me of Dune 2
So creepy! Love it
Thanks!!!
How much fps, shutter, iso, wb, and tint did you use❓🤔🤔
What settings did you use on the blackmagic?
I just bought the bmpc4k ...and am about to shoot my first short film ..... any tips on it? ... expose correctly...etc
Great film man. Love the shots on the dunes - really feels like another planet at times. Also excellent performances from your cast members!
I’m sure this must already be known and you guys just weren’t able to fix or something, but seeing the cameraman and boom in the visor shots completely broke my immersion. If it were only once, I could forgive it, but I started expecting it every time the visor was on-screen.
Still an awesome film nonetheless. Great work to everyone involved! Can’t wait to see what’s next!
Thanks man, I'm glad you liked it!! Yeah, I tried cranking down the shadows and cutting around it, but if I ever do another thing with a space suit I'm definitely getting a visor that isn't reflective, lol
What did you use for audio?
Elizabeth PORTER and a note from SAM … SAM PORTER BRIDGES …. Death stranding :3 Sorry I geeked out :p
Do you remember what microphone was used?
Looks great, film on the shadow side of the face it looks more cinematic
Gorgeous, but give it it's actual aspect ratio, so you don't see the black bars. Makes it look like you're faking the anamorphic look. I'm guessing this to be aspect ratio 2.39.1 Resolution 3840x1606.
Grear potential, let down by an abysmally weak ending.
Stupid ending.
When was the last film you made, stooopid?
Well that was pointless and without any worthwhile story line, she had to fulfil her mission, Doing what?, she goes out for a walk on the sand and comes back to her shelter and not enough food for the 120 odd days, I doubt there's a happy ending unless some Interplanetary space hero/heroine turns up soon she's pretty much screwed!!. What a useless waste of talent, Is that what it's called now?. Now I'm a critic, and I was expecting to be entertained and immersed but sadly this did neither. De` ja vu.
Alright chill bro. You are allowed to critique WITHOUT being a dick about it.
Excellent film! It reminds me of a movie awhile back, I think it was called The Pod or something like that but this one was better. I would love to show this film on our new channel that showcases indie filmmakers talents and projects. Here is the channel ua-cam.com/channels/Z3bKbJrP-uQPG6Ons2u79w.htmlvideos Yours would fit perfect there!
