Ok i have two of those units coming my question is my fans are 12v but my battery bank is 24v should i buy a small 24v to 12v converter because of my fans being only 12v ?
Hello, great video. Excellent the demonstration. Which would you say is the better module, the W1209 or W2809? I like the 2809 as it is in a compact and easy to display unit. Where the 1209 would be difficult to mount without extending cable's, display's and function keys. However, the 1209 is only using 400 mAh, whereas the 2809 is drawing a massive 4.5 Ah. That's almost 60 watts of power lost. Great video. Keep experimenting! Thumbs up!!
It depends on a lot of things. As I explained above, the W1209 would be the preferred sensor due to the low current demand. Whereas the W2809 is convenient to fit. Questions only the designer can answer, ambient temperature, ease of use, cooling, design current, safety features, environment....etc I personally would use the W1209, simply because it is more efficient, draws less current and will run cooler. However, we must take into consideration the W2809 is running two fans in parallel, which is not the same for the W1209, so it is an unfair comparison using different test equipment. I hope this helps!
@@gelomc.johnson5708 Bonjour. I was talking about mounting the display unit into an enclosure, not the fans at all pal. Also learn to spell. If you have nothing constructive to say, say nothing. You have no "sentence" /"sense" or manner at all my friend. No wonder the UK left the EU with uneducated people like yourself....lol
Aren't both only using 0.04A (40ma)? You can see it when the fan is out. Not sure why you thought the 2809 is using 4.5A, I think that's why Gelo MC. Johnson mentioned that he was running different fans for each thermostat. You should read the usage while fans are off.
Your silence is more understandable than so many other video..
Keep up the good work and
Thank you 😁

A great help, using one to control the water cooling of laser for engraving etc. Many thanks
Welcome. I appreciate your support.
Thank you! Mine came without instructions and I needed to change the settings.
Is it possible to replace the 10K at 0.5% 2 pin temp censor with a Car temp sensor if 10K ?
Will these supply 20a continuously at 12v or should I use them to switch a larger relay
Highly doubt this relay can do 12v 20 amp. It's a small relay.
Thanks Subbed!
Can this w1209 be supplied with 13.3v from lifepo4 battery pack?
this is best videoshow how it works
How to set from the cold mode to hot mode ?
Great video. Will it save settings after off and on from power? Please
I'm pretty sure that it will
I have a low voltage cut off module similar to that and it keeps memory of his settings
Excelente.
Super boss. Please make you soldering iron station
A narrative would have been great
Superb
can we set this temperature controller module in 400 degree celsius?
please help me out
have a nice day
which model is peltier cooler do u use on W2809?
how do you set the W2809 in heathing mode?
