Some measurements for anyone interested I've just made this bracelet, the folded two strands in the middle I made 30 inches, folded in half to 15 inches. The three strands I made 50 inches which folded in half to 25 inches. The twisted/braided portion is exactly 7 inches long, with a 4 inch loop at the top and 3.5 inch tassels left at the bottom. It made a bracelet exactly the right length for my wrist, bear in mind I am skinny so it may need to be a bit longer for larger wrists
Damn, this brings back memories from high school. We were making macrame bracelets during our free time. This is just one of the patterns/knots that we use. They do look great, and it is nice to wear. It's also washable when it gets really dirty. Variegated lace yarns also works magically.
This is lovely and I like the sliding knot at the end, I hadn’t seen that kind yet. I do have a question- my overhand knots at the end of cords using polyester thread are coming undone in time. I am tying them very, very tightly, yet after a while of leaving them in in the shower etc, they are coming undone. Should I try glue or maybe melting the ends?
I use to do this when I was in middle school. That was over 20 years ago. I cannot believe this is still around. I use to do this in my hair too. They called them hair wraps.
I've never known how to finish a friendship bracelet; all the other methods I've tried (small blob of glue and heat sealing the ends) have either looked terrible and/or fallen apart pretty quickly. Now I can finally make a good looking, adjustable friendship bracelet that doesn't fall apart!
For everyone , you would get the thread to your hand and line it to your chest. You always want more than less so I go to the center instead of the shoulder
Hey guys! Yours most likely didnt turn out like a spiral because you didnt do the knot from one side over and over. This bracelet only consists of a knot from one side, meaning it is only the same knot over and over. Let me know if you need further instruction :)
I say make em like pretty long and then just do the pattern until it's long enough to go around your wrist and then jus cut off the extra if there is any

Wonderful. The material is embroidery thread. The result looks very smooth. If you make it with macrame yarn, it will become hard. I will accept this proposal and make it.👍🔔💕
Terri Lynch i think any thin rope/string would work for this. I use the shown design on plant hangers with much larger string :) it really depends on your preference for thickness. Hope this helps!
Is it possible that you can do this a little slower because I don't know if you are switching sides or staying on one side thank you
Hi Taja...you don't have to switch sides. Draw 4 only on left side. 😄😄
you can just hit play back speed and pick it
You can slow it by going on the 3 dots on top of the video and then press playback speed and the press the 0.5 on top not the bottom
Thank you
Slow the video down

thank you so much omg
Thanks so much! I was wondering what length to cut the strings! I have small wrists too, so those measurements should work for me.
You're an angel. Thank you!
Appreciate this very much. I know the thread itself is pretty cheap, but my time is quite a bit more valuable😉
👍👍👍👍👍
Ty so much!
Me in quarantine like 😗✌️🧬

I love how each time the song clapped, and new loose knot was formed.

In our country the kind of thread we use is like plastic, it's shiny and never gets dirt. I dunno what calls it, polyester?
I've seen many tutorials, but yours is the clearest and simplest I've ever seen! now I finally understand how to do it, THANK YOU!
That is so sweet of you. Thanks
I agree
I think the same! Nicely done.

yes! that’s true!
well on the same side! if you want it to be a flat knot you alternate sides
Mine came out different from theirs, but I still love it 😍

WHAT ARE STRING LENGTHS/MEASUREMENTS?
Up too your shoulder or less
It doesn’t matter

I was wondering same question, unfortunately I'm still searching for the answer🤷

May i ask why mine doesn’t look like the spiral thingy design? 😩 thankyouuu!!
mine doesn’t either😞😭
I messed up too!

It would be nice to know the length of the three strands. Frustrating.
