This video shows how to make one of the most traditional sweets of Gujarat - FADA LAPSI.
Fada Lapsi is normally made with sugar, but we have found a nutritious way, we have made this Lapsi with jaggery so everyone can enjoy it!
Even Jain people, diabetic patients, Swaminarayan people, etc can also eat this lapsi!
This lapsi is a compulsory dish to be made in all marriages and is considered very auspicious!
Rajasthani people also make this dish, they call it Daliya lapsi.
People normally also call it Broken wheat desserts or Cracked wheat sweets.
Kathiyawadi people of Gujarat call it Taldhari Lapsi or Oramu.
Lapsi is a very famous sweet and is offered to God on all auspicious occasions and festivals. It is a symbol of Happiness and Faith!
Cracked wheat halwa, Lapsi Shira with jaggery or Daliya Dessert, there are several other names of Fada Lapsi Sweet and the name varies from region to region.

This lapsi is made from only 3 main ingredients:
Ghee
Fada (Cracked Wheat)
Jaggery
Additional Ingredients are:
Dry Fruits - Almonds, cashews, Raisins
Malai (Fresh Cream)
Desiccated Coconut
Elaichi Powder
