I looked over the ingredient's list for the eye cream you mentioned in this video and I noticed there didn't seem to be any exfoliating acids in the formulation but there was a presence of peptides, fruit extracts, and plant extracts. There may be a chance your eye skin, which is usually more sensitive to the rest of your face, had a reaction to those peptides or extracts. I may be wrong, but just a suggestion.
I agree with the drunk elephant comment! I have one or two products from them specifically for resurfacing my face once or twice month max. Unfortunately, I think Sunday Riley is the best for specific spot treatments and overall skin products but very pricey. A dermatologist colleague had recommended Ceravé as an affordable drug store brand since my mid 20’s and I still use it til this day.
