Wow! She yakked, squared up to the deke, then decided that where ever he was, he was gonna talk to her! That run of yelps with the cluck towards the end is deadly sounding.
It seems like the trend these days is for hunters to look down on box calls but I have heard more hens in the woods that sounded like a kid playing with a old worn out box call than I can count.
Every season I end up arguing with one of these old hussies. I enjoy it almost as much as calling to a tom.
Yeah I get a kick out of getting one all worked up too.
I argued with one yesterday. So much fun.
That’s awesome!

Yeah, she was getting after it.
The decoy said "I heard you let two Tom's take turns last week, I am not interested in hoe's"
Great capture of that hen. Nothing like hearing their sounds. Thank you for sharing this!!!
My pleasure
Great video. As a first timer this season, this kind of unadulterated action was what I needed to see. It’s incredible how accurate the calls are.
Glad you enjoyed it! I take every opportunity I get to capture hen talk for the purpose learning how to call better.
@@Weir_Outdoors I appreciate you taking the time!

Me too! LOL. I always have a box call with me. The trouble I have is which one of 8 or 10 do I take lol
I guess even one of the best turkey caller doesn’t bring the gobblers in all the time.
He followed another hen lol check out this one if you haven't. ua-cam.com/video/SCTULIHqNC8/v-deo.html
