Wickeeeed! 5:36 the noise: The inner front wheel is off the ground, the suspension is fully extended and if you are running a semi-open diff at the front, the inner tire will spool up. (In think it is ballooning so my assumption that the diff is open or semi-open.) The only torque that drive shaft sees is from accelerating the inertia of the wheel&tire plus friction, so at constant speed, there will be only minimal friction and the drive shaft is more likely to be "slack" but still at the very steep angle of the suspension. Maybe that conspires to create the noise?
I would check to make sure the axle is happy when the suspension is in full droop, it seemed like the sound was only happening when the wheel was all the way down, could be a pin rubbing in the u-joint.
All you need now is a stiffer rear sway bar for that major Torque Twist your getting lol... which is awesome! Other than that.... ... .. . Maybe a Futaba 7px with more channels for all the Amazing, Genius work that you do to add more features to your trucks. AnyWayz Bro, AWESOME Work man! Please, if possible, can you do more videos on welding up R/C Cages and any other Chassis goodies?!?!??? Thanks for sharing your work dude.
I love how the suspension is super soft and how much body roll there is, its like its a real trophy truck lol. But it looks like the shocks have no rebound you should probly go w some thinner oil or give the springs some more preload
This is a masterpiece and who ever can dislike this Man? Great great work I bow down🙇🏽♂️🙇🏽♂️🙇🏽♂️ Let me know when you build one to sell!!! I'm kidding, I guess I can't afforded it greetings
Goddamm dude, SICK ass setup for real. I wish my yeti rode as well as that. You need to start your own rc company because people like me would buy up all your store stock and I'm pretty sure everyone in the comments would do the same. Nice job man for real.
First off - nice ride man - !! As for that clicking - - I had issues in on some drift stuff. The drive shafts (dog bones) might well be rattling around - when the steering link is at an angle - you could either get some slightly longer shafts - or in order to hold the shaft in place - at which ever end is causing the clicking, I inserted very small rubber rings in the cuplinks of the drive system to space the shaft evenly- worked on some 4x4 monster truck stuff too - after rebuilds. Good luck chapper
I'm sure you've figured it out by now but perhaps try using an MIP puck system for the front dogbone? It would put a small bit of ruber between the pins the the dogbone cup. Could get rid of the clicking noise and help the front end get a bit more bite out of the corners and keep it tracking straight for killer scale videos.
Super cool looking rig with or without the body. Nice drifting. Great job on the build and the video. Hope you have luck sorting out the front end noise.
real nice job, love the attitude of the truck already, it's already got a Justin Loftin look about it on 3s, can't wait to see it in full swing, love it! thanks for posting. Cheers from the land Down Under, love your work.
Thanks Paul! I was thinking the same thing. The whole demeanor of this truck has a controlled chaos feel to it. I love it. Once I fix those minor issues I'll be back out there rippin this thing!
"Controlled Chaos" now that's hit the nail on the head, even Justin Loftin would be proud of that title. Between you and Captain Controlled Chaos Loftin there is no hope for me. I truly love your trucks and videos, and then l see a video of Justin Lofton Racing Parker 425 2017 and it completely blows my mind all over again, not to mention the Silver State 300 2015 video, faaar out. Your own DUST STORM | MINI ZEUS, now that l had to watch 3 times to convince my brain that what l was seeing, is actually a model, particularly the way it comes off the trailer at the start, very very well done. If you want some FOX loges or vinyl cut graphics/masks in ether reverse to go on the inside or normal for outside, l would be happy to help out a fellow modeller. I have then on file for my Justin Lofin Truck anyway, probably very close to the size you may need. Cheers.
I haven't named this truck yet and that sounds pretty badass...chaos.... I still have time to think of the theme for the next body. I went with the axial over the P-L raptor because I really liked the lines on it. It looks the most realistic out of all the options. I'd most likely stay with it even if I did a fox livery.
I had the same issue. Took me a while to realize it was the the bearing at the center diff. It blew up a bit after. Switched to fast Eddie bearings throughout.
Nice work man. Sounded like pinion backlash in the front diff, or little piece of gravel in the spur. Hope you figure it out, 4x4 is a pain but worth it when you're trying to Rally the turns.
My SC10 has that same clicking noise...Check to see if the dogbone is popping out of the housing at all if it does, put some small washers in the housing so it can’t move as far out
Epic build. The hardcore hobbiest can give name brands a run for their money on designs and builds. Now we need to shrink ourselves down to 1/10 to really enjoy our trucks.
Yeah l hear you, the King Shocks Voss TT looks awesome, some great videos of it in action. Voss Motorsports WINS 2017 Laughlin Desert Classic the first 44seconds is pure awesomeness.
Nice now just need a good sound system for decent V8 motor sounds, also an cockpit, have a look at the Killer RC kit Hemistorm used in his TT, a thicker fluid needed in the front diff.
The sound systems to me are pretty corny, they just don't sound authentic. I prefer the roar of the motor honestly. Also if you check out the end of part 4 you'll see the interior I made for it. I had to leave it off because of the diff problem.
Absolutely love your builds. Myself i am a modeler first, r/c second. You have a great talent. For myself, welding eludes me. Your cages alone are top line models. Just recently bought a losi baja rey, although will never come close to scale modeling such as your customs, i am still looking forward to modeling it up some. Any suggestions on good after market products to look at? I have looked at serveral of our hobbyshops but pretty much only sell traxxas stuff and not much of anything else. Honestly they are more of toy stores than hobby shops. Thanks for your videos, as they have already given me ideas to work on for the losi.
I've learned to stop buying diff seals and use plasti-dip because it seals a lot better plus it's cheaper. If it's clicking when making turns I would say check your front diff because it may be slipping and not just the center
That noise you are hearing may be your clutch gear on the motor. I have a Traxxas slash and have heard that noise many times before. Every time I check the slipper clutch on the motor it’s too loose or too tight.
Maybe try a little silicone rtv or something to seal the diff? not as a permanent solution, but just to experiment. just make sure to let it dry. unless you think it'll affect something.
what a great work ! it looks awesome ! i know all the work needed because i built my own 1/8 monster truck with home made arc welded steel axles and i love it ! i bash this truck without mercy ! by the way : try this film high speed move at hight frames rates : i did some 120 fps filming with the hero 6 and uploaded it at 60 fps : the car is easier to follow and 25% slow motions are at 30 fps
Clicking noise might be a bad driveshaft angle when you turn to full lock. My sakura d3 made a sound very similar and i tracked it down to the front driveshafts
Very impressive great build .lol and the amber that only comes on with the brakes is a bit like the truck that won baja this year .oh wait they didn't work at all lol
Yes great job on this build you should do a Justin loften body on it because the back looks like the same design. And you driving it on 3s looks like he's driving 😂
Wow dude. When I first saw the thumbnail I thought it was a 1:1 actual trophy truck, this thing looks nice
I like how your not obnoxious like most other rc UA-cam channels. Stay cool, much easier to watch
That build came out beautiful! A tour of your full collection would be sweet!
Dude that truck is sick. You are a trophy truck master. The way it looks while you drive it is badass!
Its so realistic how it reacts to the turns, bumps and torque.
Wickeeeed!
5:36 the noise: The inner front wheel is off the ground, the suspension is fully extended and if you are running a semi-open diff at the front, the inner tire will spool up. It drives so smooth, for that size and design i thought it would be at least 4s
You never cease to amaze me. These builds are insane.
All you need now is a stiffer rear sway bar for that major Torque Twist your getting lol... which is awesome! Other than that.... ... .. . Yep I mentioned that in the description, the cold really stiffened them up. Ain't gonna be perfect on the first run haha.
Cyconxc oh gotcha i didnt read the description lol my bad
Looks like a REAL SCT. Congratulation buddy!!!
This is a masterpiece and who ever can dislike this Man?
Great great work
I bow down🙇🏽♂️🙇🏽♂️🙇🏽♂️
Let me know when you build one to sell!!!
I'm kidding, I guess I can't afforded it
greetings
You go over and beyond with your builds👍
Goddamm dude, SICK ass setup for real. I wish my yeti rode as well as that. You need to start your own rc company because people like me would buy up all your store stock and I'm pretty sure everyone in the comments would do the same. Nice job man for real.
oh boy oh boy, 3.2.1... it´s comingggggg!!!! watch outtttt!
Grate build series looks like the real thing thats one nice truck
massive real scale build bro
this truck tracks great in the slomo

i love that opening shot.
Great build! Got to love the 1 hand camera action! Car looks sick bud!!
real nice job, love the attitude of the truck already, it's already got a Justin Loftin look about it on 3s, can't wait to see it in full swing, love it! thanks for posting.
Cheers from the land Down Under, love your work.
paul edwards eh agree
paul edwards mine did that and it was the gears
Thanks Paul! I was thinking the same thing. The whole demeanor of this truck has a controlled chaos feel to it. I love it. Once I fix those minor issues I'll be back out there rippin this thing!

Amazing work. I remember seeing your posts on web forums and Instagram.
i've been following this build from your first post, awesome build. keep up the great work...inspiring.
Any1 have an update of this guy? Havent seen a video from him in a while...
Super cool short course truck. That noise could be the center differential. Sounds like the spider gears.
Sickness. Sounds like a ring n pinion in one of your diff housings
I had the same issue. Took me a while to realize it was the the bearing at the center diff. It blew up a bit after. Switched to fast Eddie bearings throughout.
This might be the most amazing thing I've seen!
Nice work man. Sounded like pinion backlash in the front diff, or little piece of gravel in the spur. Hope you figure it out, 4x4 is a pain but worth it when you're trying to Rally the turns.
Coolest build I've had the pleasure to come across. Well done!
Good Lord you just keep getting better! Incredible work man , seriously the coolest thing I've seen in rc in a long time. Hail to the master
Love all of your videos I have seen them all
My SC10 has that same clicking noise...Check to see if the dogbone is popping out of the housing at all if it does, put some small washers in the housing so it can’t move as far out
awesome build thanks for sharing and keep up the good work
Epic build. The hardcore hobbiest can give name brands a run for their money on designs and builds. Now we need to shrink ourselves down to 1/10 to really enjoy our trucks.
Wouldn't that be awesome haha. Appreciate the comment man.
Yeeeessss finalllllyyyy
I have seen all the building video's!😆😆😆
Yeah l hear you, the King Shocks Voss TT looks awesome, some great videos of it in action.
Voss Motorsports WINS 2017 Laughlin Desert Classic the first 44seconds is pure awesomeness.
This thing looks magnificent
Outstanding job! That thing is SICK!!

Amazing, this ride looks sick!
Sweet I like the long arms and how you set up your suspension too
That is a SICK rc truck man
you've done an incredible job man
Love the look of the body nice truck
Front u-joints on max turn is the clicking? That’s my guess. Looks clean and fast. Great job!!
You nailed it, that's exactly what it was. Check out the vid on my instagram @cyconxc
that's the best handling truck I think I've ever seen
Absolutely love your builds. Myself i am a modeler first, r/c second. You have a great talent. For myself, welding eludes me. Your cages alone are top line models. You are amazing!!!!! I think you should come out with ur own rc company and produce kits
Sweet ass build man.Just keep beating it & that clicking noise will break or go away lol !!!
That’s a nice truck bro! Great job.
Fair do's mate, that's turned out really well! Another quality build... hope you find the source of that clicking too.
Very good slow motion!!! 🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷
That thing rips. I'm jealous
HOLLLYYYY I’m so jealous. That’s beautiful
Omg can I have one? Your craftsmanship is amazing
Sweet it looks awesome
I've learned to stop buying diff seals and use plasti-dip because it seals a lot better plus it's cheaper. If it's clicking when making turns I would say check your front diff because it may be slipping and not just the center
Fully sick mate 👍
Nice rig looks amazing 👍👍👍
Beautyfull truck man!! Congrats 👊
Need to see it on some rough ground !
That noise you are hearing may be your clutch gear on the motor. I have a Traxxas slash and have heard that noise many times before. Every time I check the slipper clutch on the motor it’s too loose or too tight.
That thing is badass! You need to start your own RC car company!
The RC Element um he has his own company
_RC_KING_ A company where he sells these cars?
_RC_KING_ haha funny meeting you here😂 killer fury
A real masterpiece buddy!!! Looks sooo scale on the drift!
Appreciate it man, the snow needs to melt so I can drive it again haha.
Awesome vid! My emaxx makes a similar noise when the diffs are shot. Possibly your rear diff?
Maybe try a little silicone rtv or something to seal the diff? not as a permanent solution, but just to experiment. just make sure to let it dry. unless you think it'll affect something.
Looks like it's almost perfect, great job!!! Can't wait to see the next video.
Thanks I was surprised how well it drove. Snow needs to melt so I can get back out there! haha
NICE RIG MR...... NOT BAD FOR BEING CUSTOM
I like the clicking sound so satisfying
what a great work ! it looks awesome ! i know all the work needed because i built my own 1/8 monster truck with home made arc welded steel axles and i love it ! i bash this truck without mercy ! by the way : try this film high speed move at hight frames rates : i did some 120 fps filming with the hero 6 and uploaded it at 60 fps : the car is easier to follow and 25% slow motions are at 30 fps
That thing is awesome man
Try thicker diff lube and shim the spider gears
Looking Sick! Very Nice! 👍👍👍👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thanks, I would set it up like that but it's all one circuit lol.
Your builts are awesome!!! Please built a robby gordon TT only you can my friend!!!
Damn.. that thing is badass!
Man, that’s awesome! 👍😃👍
Yes great job on this build you should do a Justin loften body on it because the back looks like the same design. And you driving it on 3s looks like he's driving 😂
+1 the truck looks like it's being driven by Justin Loften, he's already on three wheels and hasn't hit the bumps and woops yet. love it!
paul edwards haha true 😂😂
Lol yeah this thing is a monster. I was actually thinking about a Lofton body but I already have the king shocks theme going on.
Cyconxc aww I pissed now unsubbed bye!! JK well he's my favorite driver so if I ever build a tt I will do a #badco replica
Wow,Wow and Wow! You are Killin it!
Yes yes yes omg this video I couldn’t wait for it. This thing needs to get dusty on some dry clay. Awesome video thanks cycon keep it up
Thanks dude, glad you liked the vid!
use the slash 4x4 tekno stell driveshafts for the front. would probably work a lot better.
looks fast, and coool, but just how fast man?
You make rc fun again. Maybe you can try fpv for long drives.
That noise is the front outdrive catching on the driveshaft when the steering is too far. Ether switch to cvd or adjust your end points
That looks amazing
Absolutely wicked build. :)
SSSHHHHH...QUITE SERVO..I LOVE THAT TRUCK WHY DONT YOU WANNA BUILD ALOT AND RUN ALL OF THEM I LIKE IT......I SUBSCRIBED AND LIKE...LOVE The vodeo:D
Nice truck and nice run. 🤜🤛
Awesome custom rig
and the ratteling noise sounds like coggs somewhere.. maybe rear diff?
Looks great!
i know this is a old video, love your builds and about to attempt one myself, what did you use for the center diff and motor mount??
Is it going to be Jason Voss? Kinda has a Jimco truck body like his and it’s #1. 🤷🏼♂️
Amazing car dude
I had that clicking noise with my car its the stearing thingy
