Good luck with this Steve. It seems like there is a epidemic of PC at present. I've been on this journey and was operated on last February, had a quick recovery with two weeks of leaks then back to normal. (I was fit enough to do a 2 week Kimberly tour in May). A mate of mine had his removed 10 years ago and he's fine. So hang in there mate and thanks for the message to all the PC deniers.
Thank you mate, I hope I recover as quick as you did as I’m keen to put this behind me and get back to travelling and your right there are to many blokes putting it off until tomorrow
Thanks for sharing as it helps create very important awareness. Best of luck with your treatment and recovery. I Believe you've made the correct decision.
Great positive video Steve Currently going through early stages myself , have family history and my PSA has quadrupled in the last year and a half. Waiting to see the specialist You are correct to get it checked in your blood tests. I will be attending the Redcliffe hospital when I get the call as I am at Caboolture All the best mate.
Thank you and I hope all is well with you. I met a bloke recently who was also in the same boat as us and he said it was just part of his dads inheritance but he would have preferred the house LOL
Good advice Steve keep up your good will hope to catch up with two we live at Kingaroy hope to see you be for you take off up north you are welcome to stay at our place if you want regards ray
Grate video mate. I think your video will help a lot of men worried about there prostate. I hope all goes well for you. I’m going through some symptoms my self. It’s good to see your approach and that glass half full. I get mine checked often as well. Cheers. 😊
Thank you mate, I really hope we can encourage other men to get tested. as I said in the video I have no symptoms at all. I was quite surprised at the time
Mate, I'll be getting to my doctor and asking for a PSA test soon. I'm a January 64 vintage, so similar to you. All the very best to ya mate. Keep on the front foot like you're doing and you'll be happy travelling for years to come, Cheers!
I've beaten cancer on five separate occasions and the best advice i received was stay positive. I can see you are doing that and so the worst part is over.Good luck with your upcoming surgery. Looking forward to your next video. Cheers😊
Thank you mate, I couldn’t feel anything but positive I’m just not that type of bloke, I’m sure this will be well in my rear vision mirror in the near future
Sending you & Alison lots of love & hugs, you demonstrated such a great attitude. I look forward to hearing that your surgery is booked & you can put this behind you ❤
Good luck with the operation. Thank you for encouraging men to keep an eye on their prostrate and their psa and encouraging them to have blood tests done.
Hi Steve and Ally, just wanted to give you our very best wishes as you face Steve’s health challenges together. Thank you Steve for sharing so openly while you are in what is undoubtedly a very intense time with diagnosis and treatment planning and all that comes with. Your encouragement could make a world of difference to someone else and we admire you for what you are doing. It’s great that you have more travel adventures to look forward to while you wait for surgery and that your whole life doesn’t need to go on hold. We really enjoy following along with you while we also prepare for our next big trip. Maree & Barry Brews on Tour
Thank you, when I shot the video a couple of days ago I never thought it would lead to the support I’ve received. I hope I can encourage other men particularly those with a family history of prostate cancer to visit their doctor. Ally and I can’t wait to get mobile again and my surgeon is happy to do Tele appointments so we can continue our travels
yep well spoken, a simple psa blood test will see where your at, you will have no symptoms, I had my prostate removed, see ya doctor, you will never die from prostate cancer if you get it treated
Well done Steve . You are such a great speaker , sharing really important information regarding men's health . We are heading upto the Savannah way , burketown, King ash Bay and then over to daly river , litchfield in June . Hopefully we can catch up with you and Allison. We love watching your travels , it would be great to have a chat . Take care and happy travels 🤩
Thank you Judith, we haven’t completely made up our minds yet about our route so I’ve made two either through Mt Isa or the same way you’re going. knowing Ally and I we probably won’t decide until we get to the turn off. We definitely be up for a chat anytime
All the best with your surgery. As many have said, you have put together a great episode and I hope it encourages others to get tested. Wishing you and Ally all the best and get out there and enjoy your travels.
Hey Steve, well done broaching the subject. I am a survivor and was found by accident when having the old man operation. I am 63. Mine is in remission and have to be tested every year. My father like yours had it and had it removed. Good luck
Thanks David, I glad to hear your heading in the right direction, mine is coming out mid August. I just want to get on with live and put this is the rear view mirror and hopefully raise some awareness about prostate health
G’day mate, Positive story about facing a challenging time for you and Ally. Your approach to early diagnosis and evidenced based intervention is spot on. Both have led to the medical literature demonstrating significant improvements in outcome from this insidious disease. All strength to you and we look forward to seeing more of the travels. Most importantly as you said is this is your time to live every day and keep the ‘glass half full’ approach. Cheers Paul & Bernadette
Thank you mate, I think as men, particularly my/our generation have the “she’ll be right mate” attitude to a lot of things. I’m hoping I can encourage a few fella’s to visit their doctor and have a check up. We are hoping to point towards the NT after Mother’s Day. We are really looking forward to getting back on the road soon
As a former cancer sufferer, wish you well. I had bladder cancer 18 years ago and still going strong with a check up every 2 years. I'm very surprised that you may have to wait up to 6 months though. Stay strong and positive, from another Queenslander.
Thank you, I’m so happy you’re on top of it and enjoying life. I was a little surprised at the length of the wait list as well but speaking with the surgeon yesterday I’m hoping it will be sooner
Well wishes for the surgery 🥰and thankyou for sharing great information and advice for men in our families and our the country ❤ps love your adventures too 😉👍🏼
Thank you so much, I hope our little video encourages other men to get tested. What do they have to lose? We are heading towards the NT just after Mother’s Day and we can’t wait to get moving
All the best with your upcoming travels but more importantly, your surgery when that time comes. Must say I had a giggle with your prostate explanation. All the very best to you both. Safe travels guys. ❤
I’m so glad you caught it early! Fingers crossed they clear it up without any difficulties 🤞🏼 It’s really good you’ve put this out there for everyone to see. Fellas need to be much more aware of prostrate health. I think they’re embarrassed. Silly buggers. Having a digit venture somewhere embarrassing is by far the lesser evil.
My husband had no symptoms and his psa level was 26, it can be a very hard road for both husband and wife, wishing you the best, we are lucky we live in a great country with great medical available to us
Had my prostate removed 9 months ago July 2023 at 64 in Cairns Public Hospital. I had open surgery as the robot was not available at the time. My cancer had not spread beyond the prostate either. So don't worry if robot not available. I'm healing well 👍 Feel free to contact me if you wish Regards Ross
Thank you, yes there will be a few sacrifices ahead of us but you’re right we do live in a very lucky country and I’m looking forward to having the surgery and moving on
Thank you Ross that is very encouraging, I tell you mate I’m looking forward to having it removed soon, I don’t want to give it a chance to escape my prostate. I’m glad you’re healing well. Stay strong my friend
Thanks for a very private and educational episode, happy travels 😊
Thank you mate we’ll catch up soon I’m sure

Good luck with the operation. Thank you for encouraging men to keep an eye on their prostrate and their psa and encouraging them to have blood tests done.
Thank you, I couldn’t believe how easy the test was and how many men avoid it. I we can encourage more men to see their doctor
As a cancer sufferer myself, I wish you all the best with your treatment
