Editorial Notes
Certain sections had to be cut from the video due to time. Here are two that I felt still deserve some kind of mention:
1. Microphone - The microphone system is pretty decent. Not quite as good as the reigning champion, (that being the Moto X Pure Edition, of course) but still good. Stereo video recording is a thing. While there is no true front-facing microphone like what we saw on the LG V20, there is a dedicated directional microphone on the back close to the camera array to assist during the recording of telephoto videos.
2. Fingerprint scanner - Samsung was reportedly planning to include the "cutting-edge" optical in-display fingerprint scanner on the Note 9 already, but had to ditch it at the last second. This is, without doubt, the worst cell phone fingerprint scanner I've ever used. It is slow and fussy. It's not even as secure as a capacitive scanner, to add insult to injury (did I mention that the facial scanner was axed from this model as well?). To be clear, it does work "well enough," most of the time. Just be prepared to re-train it every few months. TL;DR? It's acceptable, but nowhere near as good as a proper capacitive fingerprint scanner once the novelty factor wears off. Use of "smart lock" can help defer the impact of this shortcoming.
The Note-10's rear camera lens looks suspiciously like the iPhone-10's.... hmm what a strange coincidence. lol
For me, the most important features are, a flat screen no larger than 6.5" (all curved ones break easy, and 6.5' is the perfect size for me), decent cameras, and last by not least, it MUST have an SDcard slot (my stuff stays on my phone, nothing in the cloud!). ;)
great vid this phone is too big for me still the golden shiny back and the screen impressed me when i tried this
100% agreed. A device this large requires a certain level of very serious commitment.
@@Browningate mr.brown i wanted to tell you that i have LG V20 Pro a japan only phone that is is a smaller v20 have you seen that before i found not much info online on it but i have it
*samsung 2019*
srsly tho this phone is awesome
I would love to see your next video where you gonna be talking by facing the camera.
Where would be the fun in that now?
you got exynos version, worst cam and performance
Speak for yourself. This one's the Snapdragon.
i am shocked how bad the camera is as i use a older pixel 3 the google camera is crazy good
Google might've lost their way in some areas, but they still have their stuff together when it comes to camera software. No doubt about that.
@@Browningate ya but being the only phones now easily rootable and great camera softwear i can''t find better in my use case , still i want more choices but your info on you don't need to root any more is convincing to a degree
@@Ahmad-cj4ef Yeah, that's the rub. It all depends on whether or not root is actually needed. If it's not, then there's no point in subjecting oneself to that added difficulty.
