  • A cold front approaches Friday, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms. This storm system arrives Friday afternoon and could bring some severe weather to our area. Most of our viewing area will be under a Level 1 risk between 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. The main threats will be damaging winds and possibly some hail.
This weekend, Raleigh will feel cool down significantly thanks to an incoming cold front. Expect mostly dry conditions on Saturday with highs in the mid 70s. There's a chance for scattered showers on Sunday, especially later in the day, with highs dropping into the 50s. On Sunday, we begin a cooler-than-normal pattern that will last into early next week, but it will be brief. Sunday has a high of only 59 degrees. Monday's high is 66, and we climb back into the 70s on Tuesday. It's allergy season! With all this warm weather, the flowers and trees are blooming - meaning pollen counts are high. If you're sneezing, that could be why.
