To have done all this with patience and care within 14 minutes is commendable. I have been scrolling fr hours and this is the only tutorial on HOW to actually make your own box. Thank you so so much!

That is kind of what I specialize in . . . HOW to do things YOU want to do in Design Space. If you ever have another topic you cannot find a tutorial on, please ask me! That is how I get ideas for what video to make next!

It takes a little pre-planning and thought to figure out the correct numbers to plug in for the X/Y coordinates to make everything work, but for me it ended up allowing me to make exactly what I wanted, so it was worth it.

Nice. Would like to have seen the box printed and assembled.

There was nothing in this project that was printed. This was all done by cutting and scoring cardstock.
I have the finished project at www.shawnmosch.com/disney-countdown-calendar/

Thank you SO MUCH for this tutorial. I have been searching for days how to do something like this! You wouldn’t consider doing a tutorial on making a box for playing cards? I search ‘card box’ and get greeting cards. I want to know how to make a box for my handmade soap. They are in the shape of a deck of cards, only slightly wider. I truly appreciate this video. I am a total beginner! Thank you, Cath.

I would make your box just like I did, and just adjust the measurements as needed. In Design Space there is one that I like. Under images type in #M3247F to find it. It works for a card box or a coloring crayon box.

I couldn’t hear her math equations could you write down or explain how you figured the placements out?

    • @TheShawnMosch

I figured out what size I wanted the box to be, and figured out the math to size it. Each box would be different depending on the size you want

You lost me when you said u placed the scoring lines 10x10? Where did u come up with that and then you placed the scoring lines on top of the box to be putting in the same number 10x10?

basically it is breaking the placement down to a math problem, using the grid locations for placement of the lines
