Hi there -- thank you for checking out the video and for the comment. It's been hard to make the stocking decision on ML boards given our conditions here. I'll try to get my hands on one so we can review for you. Hope you're getting some great winging days in Best Half-Life Crew
Great video, I'm thinking of picking up the same board/volume at 185 lbs. Are you happy with the 70L sizing vs. the 80L? I noticed they both have pretty similar dims but +10L. No regerts?
Hi Gone Winging -- zero regrets. You and I are basically twins -- I'm ~180-185. 70L is a great board and super flexibility for a variety of wind conditions. Love the board. If you'd like to order through us - we'd appreciate it! Best Tim
The best way to practice is to just do it! That said......You'll know when it's time to move down in size. Once you're comfortable standing, getting up, doing a few gybes -- it will be time. Have fun! Tim
My daughter lives up in Bellevue and I want to stay at a hotel where it would be great for Wingfoiling. Can you make a recommendation for hotels that are at wingfoiling locations? Thank you very much. Scott P.
Hi Scott - I'm sorry for being slow on the response! thank you for checking out the video. Your best hotel is likely the Woodmark Hotel and Spa. It is right on lake washington at Carillon point. Carillon point is a very strong place to wing foil when you have north winds. When the wind is blowing from the South - you'll have a short paddle or a short walk down to a neighboring beach. You can walk with your gear over your shoulder to Marsh Beach which is good for either direction of wind. Have fun! Tim
No - not at all. Keep in mind, I was going from a WS75L to a 70L. Surprisingly - at 180lb -- once you're comfortable on a 99L, as you move down you get used to it pretty quickly. For me - I can go 60L w/out much issue. It's mostly about comfort. The move from the WS (Wing Sup) to the Wing board was a non event. I just enjoy the reduced area of the deck. Minor if any change to stability. The width of the WS does provide extra stability - but not something you'll miss if you're ready for the transition. Feel free to give us a call if you want to talk it through. (909) 698-0401 Best Tim

I need way more practice to wing on a lower volume board. But that one looks great board.

Thanks Tim!
With such a big leap down in width, did you struggle with stability any?
