Nihar! So terribly sorry for the massive delay in getting back to the most wonderful comment, thank you so so much! This is why I love performing live. There are so many various elements surrounding it and factors that go into it, and a lot of it isn't even in your hands completely, so you kind of 'care less' in a way, if that makes sense?🤪 Basically, I tend to let go a lot more when I perform on stage or on camera, and I just enjoy it. Right before I go on stage however, I do get the exciting type of nerves haha. I used to be a lot more anxious, but now I just get excitedly nervous, and I try to remind myself to just play and have fun☺
Ingrid! Don't worry, so glad to have you back ☺️ Apologies for the delay on my part too, I've been a little swamped! What a wonderful comment! You're absolutely right, when we care less and don't try to control everything, that's when things actually go great! It's like this. Imagine we start to analyse the way you walk "right foot, left foot, the right after that..." and so on. We'd go crazy! Same thing with what we know we're good at. When we go out and play as you say and trust our bodies and minds to work, they usually work great!
Also very happy to hear you used to be more anxious in the past but you've learnt to let go on stage and camera, that's growth 👌 And also the words we use to talk to ourselves are so important. We could describe those pre-stage sensations as "oh my goodness, I'm too nervous, I can't do this" or we could as you said be "excited" and use that energy in our favour!
