I wish this so-called meteorologist would explain why these heat domes and flooding are occurring. With the the arctic heating up to 3x faster than anywhere else the temperature difference between there and the equator is drawing closer which is having an effect on the northern jet stream. The first effect is it’s wavier causing colder air to be drawn all the way down to TEXAS and warmer air to be funnelled all the way up from the gulf into the arctic further heating it up. The 2nd effect is the stalling of the jet stream. We all know weather patterns travel west to east and with the stalling the highs are staying put longer causing extreme heating and droughts thus setting the stage for the massive fires we are seeing. Conversely the lows are dumping huge amounts of rain over longer periods causing the flooding. Now add to all this all the re-enforcing feedback loops and we can clearly see where this is all heading. If I have to hear another climate change denier mention that “ climate always changes “ I think I’m going to lose it. While this statement is true what the issue here is the rate of change that’s occurring. Climate changes gradually over thousands of years allowing plants and animals time to adapt. With 8 billion people now on this planet we’ve managed enough heat generation to alter the climate in less than 100 years. The result: species dying at an alarming rate unable to cope with the rapid change to their environment. The 6th mass extinction is well underway and with humans at the top of the food chain our demise is in the crosshairs if we do not act fast and change our ways. It may already be too late but we have to do something and fast. The biggest problem I believe is the greed of capitalist idealism of an infinite growth economy. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again “YOU CANNOT HAVE INFINITE GROWTH ON A FINITE PLANET!!! “. Sadly I cannot foresee the elites or as they are more commonly known the “1%” changing this system anytime soon.They need to continue making more money than they will ever need in multiple lifetimes while the majority of humanity continues to live in poverty not knowing where their next meal is coming from. We are f*****!!!!!

I'm sensing a pattern. In the summer, in the northern hemisphere, the temps are higher than in the winter. Check out temps and wildfires in the late 1800s and in the 1920s/30s.

In 1920 to 1940, global temperatures spiked 0.3c, causing the drought, 1200 people perished in Ontario when temperatures hit 40c, then ww1 happened causing global dimming from the aerosols that were pumped into the atmosphere from iron production, contrails from aircraft etc, which helped drop the global temperatures,
But you're right, things are different this time, even 10k commercial flights per day couldn't slow down global warming, over the last 10 years, global temperatures have risen 0.35c and 10yrs before that 0.25c,
The bug grounded 10k airplanes/day and global brightening is kicking in with a vengeance,
Global CO2 levels are 417ppm and AGGI is 505ppm and climbing,
Global thermostat is 1c/12 ppm CO2 or ghgs, temperatures are accelerating and heading to 18.6c rise
Here in Texas we are starting to see TYPICAL summer weather pattern which is a high pressure dome building bringing temps in the upper 90s to 100

Add that to a warmer climate and maybe that explains longer and stronger .
