When I was maybe 9-10 i heard this song on the radio in my fathers car It was so good and i didnt wanna forget it so i used my nail to carve the name of the song in the car When i went back home i looked it up and I’ve been enjoying it ever since This song is pure nostalgia and ecstasy
Reminds me of a band called Smash Mouth. If you like this song, check out their hits such as "Walking On The Sun" and the critically acclaimed "All Star" People say their early albums are better, but SM really honed their sound with the 2006 album, Contagious. It showcases New Orleans style horns with 70s Krautrock guitars. Definitely worth a listen!
To whoever is saying that this doesn't sound like the old Paper Route, I came here to tell you that I didn't know about them before and now I know them because of this song. There's gotta be something good about this change
+Sabah Avendaño Maybe you should give their older albums a listen...and realize that this song is SHIT compared to their previous work... Just because you just now heard of them, doesnt mean this song is good, or the direction they are going is....its called selling your soul to a major label, and getting more marketing to people like you who can't take the time to actual dig for conscious music, but instead is being fed mediocre garbage that feeds the masses of Miley Cyrus, Bieber, ext...
+benandreas369 Not sure I'd take her comment so far as to say that she doesn't listen to "conscious" music. She might have very refined tastes in music and is simply saying she recently discovered Paper Route through this song and she likes the song. No need to assume she only listens to Bieber and Miley garbage because she likes this PR song.
+benandreas369 What I tried to say and what you didn't understand was that if I got to listen to them with this song (knowing the fact that I'm not even from the US and I just listen to the local radios) they must be doing something good because they've grown this big with this new sound, this isn't about me listening pop trash or whatever you tried to say, this is about knowing an unknown band because of this sound and hoping they never change their new path if this is working out good for them.
+benandreas369 Are you fucking special or something? I discovered paper route literally about 3 hours ago and can I just say, i love this song. You may not like it, that's your opinion, just as it is mine that it's a good one. If people have never heard of paper route before it doesn't determine who they listen to. Even if they do listen to current pop (not a fan but each to their own) who the fuck are you to judge? As far as I know, people have the right to listen to whatever they want, so why are you talking shit?
I´m all for a band changing their sound, but I´ll admit I´m not sure how I feel about the new sound. Sounds like it could have been on the Empire Records soundtrack or any other mid 90s movie soundtrack.
+RIBottleguy Their label must have told them what music to make...they wanted to ca$h out... out of all bands, Paper Route thought wouldnt be one of them...I was wrong.
You're just jumping to conclusions man, at least wait until the album comes out before you say "Oh PR isn't the same band anymore.....they sold out.....their label made them do so and so.....blah blah blah.....whine whine whine."
Nooo idea what the fuck you guys are going on about. Paper Route has never sounded the same between albums. Compare "Are We All Forgotten" to "Second Chances" to "Glass Heart Hymn" to "Zhivago". A part of Paper Route releasing a new album is releasing a new sound. You're all leaving me with the impression you've never heard a song outside of The Peace of the Wild things and claiming Paper Route is selling out by changing their sound... really?
Yenwood Glass Heart Hymn from Peace of Wild Things can be on the fucking Absence album....yes, those 2 albums are different, but its not a whole completely different vibe than what is being presented here....Paper Route now sounds like every other fucking band now... I dont hear any piano, or other electronic genius going on here or even in Zhivago. They fucked up signing w/ Sony. Sorry you cant see that. I feel no emotion or love from this song compared to others....just saying...
+benandreas369 They wrote and recorded the new album in full at the end of 2014, but when they signed to Sony they were forced to overhaul everything. I'm going to reserve judgement until the full album releases but it does annoy me how they kept fans in the dark for the past year and a half.
Why in the fuck does a band have to dramatically change their sound? I get the whole "need to change or they will get sick of the copy, paste style..", but you can still make dope music, slight changes, without losing your sound.... I dont know who told Paper Route or if they told themselves this is the direction they are going to take....but Im sorry, this song fucking sucks. To go from Absence, make slight changes in the Peace of Wild Things is the perfect way to make changes artistcally, but still have that Paper Route sound...this sounds like MuteMath 2.0... Sucks to say Paper Route sold out...bummer. On to SeaWolf!
Dude, its only one song. I happen to think its pretty awesome tho a little different for them (which is saying something lol). Just seeing how quickly you turn on PR shows how much of a fan you really are (or aren't).
chill out I listened to Zhivago too...so its 2 songs...and that one is ok, but not great. Hopefully their new album will be good, cause so far these 2 new songs suck.
THANKS DAVID FOR NOT PUTTING THE DAMN SONG IN THE DESCRIPTION

PR really stepped up their game with this one. Great!
I love this song
this is great, guys!
I'M SO HAPPY RN ! Sounds Amazing.
Love the song, haven't heard a single one I don't like and I doubt I can say that about any other band. Can't wait for the new album.
This reminds me of a little known band called Progress in Color. Great stuff!
Crying so much! Such an amazing song!!!!
I hear it in the itunes store , amazing song 😊👌🏻👍🏻
Saw these guys live Friday night before Mutemath!
Saw you guys perform live in Cleveland with Mutemath a few days ago. Killer performance and love the news song.

+jacobpaul1 Yes, I am pretty disappointed too.
Anyone here from David Dobrik's vlog?
🙋🙋
No, Hawaiian Airlines' provided music lmao.
@@notrllyedgy6685 lmao
Damn I had to use Siri on David Dobrik's vlog to figure this song out
Caffeinator David’s the man
RIP Paper Route
+Mjordan12 exactly...idk wtf they are doing. Im not trolling, Im just pissed I waited a while to hear Mutemath 2.0....
Liked this sound better when it was called Phoenix.
Six years too late to be mimicking this sound. Sad.
Waited a long time for new PR and it is honestly a bit disappointing..
+Mondoee What do you recommend by them? I just got done listening to their first album and I think this is way better.
Agreed, I find it very forgettable. I found PR on Pandora years ago. If this song came up I wouldn't have checked for more by them.
I have conflicting feelings about this song. It's good, but doesn't sound like Paper Route.
+RIBottleguy Their label must have told them what music to make...they wanted to ca$h out... out of all bands, Paper Route thought wouldnt be one of them...I was wrong.

It's kinda funny because the latest MuteMath's album sounds more like PR and this sounds like old MuteMath... Like wtf? :v
Jonathan Peña
Must have been a record company pointing a gun to the head of Paper Route... or they just wanted to ca$h out
benandreas369 get over it.... it attracts new audiences like me
I love it!
love it!
+donald meacham how? It sounds like Mutemath, not Paper Route!
+benandreas369 Mutemath is amazing! this totally sounds like Paper Route. I can hear it.
donald meacham
To each their own...this sounds like every other band...=(
So what you're saying is no band is unique? We agree to disagree. :)
donald meacham
Im hoping this album does not have songs like this one....its garbage to Paper Routes standards.
