It's not so much that female mantises "cut the mate's head", but more that they _eat_ their mate's head... Though they mostly only do this if they are already hungry: It takes a bit of energy to gestate eggs and stuff for an insect, so eating their mate is done to ensure that they'll be well fed and will have a bit of extra energy for the coming days so that they'll actually survive until it's time to lay those eggs... Just like Modeus to romanticise it though. xD

@@Santiagojose-ey1wipretty much yes, although Vanripper commented that he likes their drawings and animations several times, so I don't think that the depiction of his characters is very far from canon

La verdad por si no sabes, ese sujeto lleva tiempo haciendo fan comics de helltaker y creo que es uno de los principales desarrolladores de un fangame del mismo con estetica de pelea (tipo mortal kombat).
