Dd will remove your earn by time for taking your time. Alot of people are getting it taken away they will see what your doing eventually. Just so you know they are watching people because too many people are taking advantage of this and milking it.
I’ve maintained my platinum status since starting in July. I get trash orders often. I do EBT when it’s slow and I don’t want to go to the burbs. I make about $400 doing 3/4 days a week with my times spaced out because I still have to work. But I’m Taking anything under $5 with more than 2 miles attached.
You can “dash now” with a 1% acceptance rate, assuming your area is busy. However, you cannot simply “dash anytime” (and set your own hours) if you are silver, or bronze, or as far as I know, gold. For that, you’ll need platinum status. I live on the opposite side of the state, and my AR used to be 30-40% on average. Now I maintain a 75% AR and I can make $180 using nothing but DoorDash on Fridays (in roughly 10 hours). It made a huge difference. I’ve dashed in your area, and it’s pretty decent. I believe I did 6 Sprouts orders in 1 day, each paying $16-$20 (0.5-2 miles each, unbelievably). My AR never dipped below 70% during the week that I was there (in June) 😂. Just gotta stay away from certain areas and pause your dash
It amazes me when dashers don't utilize the pause feature. If the drop off is in a bad location or it's really close to shitty places like mcdonalds then I pause the dash until I'm back in a favorable location. I probably stick to like 25 percent of my zone
I got to Platinum Status and the orders were no better than when I was in gold or silver. As soon as I drop down to Silver and gold I got better offers. I don't need to dash now I have a set schedule Thursday through Sunday from 5 to 10. So on Saturday schedule for Thursday and so on for the rest of the days. Dash now is no incentive for me. I just need to remember the schedule every day

@austinyoung8946 What do you mean,I don't do deliveries,only with deliveries can you pretty much be sure an order doesn't have a tip.With rideshare the upfront pay shows no tip so whether or not you get a tip is not really something you'll know when you accept.Like I said I stopped doing deliveries a long time ago.
If I do EBT I don’t pick up the order until after the pick up time. So.. pick up 7:00, I pick up at 7:05. Try to bump the pay up some. And I drive a little slower. I do EBT on the slow days
Knock on the door unless they say do not knock so they know the food is there to avoid negative customer ratings while eating a couple more minutes before it is counted as late. If it’s a hand to me you can give the food and not mark till back in the car and ready to go for a few minutes. Keep on time to 92/93% and I’m not bothered by doortrash.
That’s milking but be careful. At end of day DD had a say how much you’re are doing to be credible evidence of milking/abusing. I’ve done this in California prop 22.
You'll get a contract violation for arriving late to the store. 5 violations would get your account deactivated. I'm at 4 cause I did EBT and arrived at store 10 mins late everytime.... It's not even my fault cause there's rush hour traffic. If you're being late on purpose be prepared for deactivation.... I do earn per offer now and it's a lot better, no need to be greedy for a couple extra pennies
OK so on the 1 decline per hr, its 1 per ACTIVE hour. So if you decline an order and do say 3 orders in 35 minutes, then try to decline the next 1 your dash will end. You need to get 1 hr active time BETWEEN declines. IJS
The platinum status keeps my earnings at 25 an hour. Prior,it was 13 to 15. It depends on ur market. I do not receive no tips offers,as platinum. However, i will take the "high pay," orders,for 5 bucks,if its a mile or less. Its difficult to tell u this,but folks like me,with hurt knees,r out delivering full time. So u r competing with all of us,platinum status,which is why it changed for u. I Only Utilized earn by time, to get me to platinum. Keep posting! You're doing great!

@@bobg3221 yeah new York state is the place to do gig work. Not the city the state. City is cramped as hell. But new York state is like $16 minimum. Most jobs start out at 18 to 20 and that's McDonald's. Other jobs like factory are probably 23 to 25
One option is just do 5 doordash in a row,every day,for 30 days,then pull yourself off,before it breaks ur spirit. That way,after 5,u pause orders after dash,shut the B down,and work other apps. Once your on platinum u can cherry pick! I hope that helps!
That sucks with 98% no tip. Every market is different. Up here in Southwestern Pennsylvania, probably 65% of my orders on pay by time have a tip on them.
I always start my day by doing an EBT offer. That way I can chill in my apartment for a little while before I pickup, and guarantee I get paid at least $4-$5. Then I log out and switch to earn by offfer. This helps me maintain my 70% AR for Platinum status
I am only at minute 5:14 in the video. I only do earn by time and It works out where Im at because all the restaurants are slow. On average in spending 30 mins to an hour on one order so its good to see a larger number when I complete. the longer you are active on an order the bigger the number.
Remember $1 base pay if customer tipped and when customer didn’t tip base pay was raised to make every order at leased 5$. This was DoorDash original pay model. People complained and sued. Said it was basically stealing tips from one customer to subsidized another. Earn by time is the same thing they purposely put the no tip orders there and pay a higher base pay. Your right earn by time is a scam because it’s not random you receive more no tip orders than usually. They even tell you so when they rolled it out.
When you think about it if every no tipper left $2 extra it would be like adding over $20 to your shift there they feel like they cant afford to tip because they are ordering so little to be delivered ,but like i said if everybody added $2 to every small order like mandatory tipping based on order size but keep it on a straight $2 to $3 tip if its an everyday delivery
Your AR will go up. You can only decline 1 offer anyways on earn by time. I have found an AR around 75 gets me the best offers. Sometimes I’ll do earn by time and then I end up with 90 AR😱lol At least I can decline a few when I’m on per offer
Door dash is ok part time. Being able to pick when you dash is bonus. A low pay 2nd job would be limiting … with dd you can work every available second you are free where as a 2nd job would be way more your employers schedule than the one you want. If you have a random off day from your main job you can dash for extra Bux where a 2nd job if you weren’t already scheduled it’s a very low likelyhood that you would be able to get hours. The car abuse thing is an issue but you would (probably) have to drive to a second job anyways. Although ofc it’s better for the car than grinding for 8 hours for dd . But eh. Point is there are a lot of factors if it’s a second hustle. As a primary job? The. Yeah if your market is bad it’s probably not worth it.
when i do earn by time i end up getting hit with violations - customers saying they did not get their order. I dont do them not only for the super low pay but the scammers as well
Your market is much better than mine, $11 per hour is the best per hour in my market. 80 miles is about average, some days I've driven 150 miles. Gold status in my market is useless since its over saturated with drivers that i can only schedule when my area goes red, scheduling is a no go. Uber tends to be better in my area than DD, but again...my market is much worse than yours, you should try my market lol

I tried the Chick-fil-A salad and didn't like it. Have you tried the Piada avocado cobb? I am not really into salads but i need to lose weight and you talked me into it. As for pay by time, i think they have an hourly wage they want you to make so you will have some good and bad but it is about the average. I like to do it during the slow times but you have to lock in the dash time towards the end of a good time. I don't know how it works if you aren't platinum and need a schedule
I would think dash by hour works the same everywhere what's paid by hour goes up and down according to need the more cherry picking drivers do the more dash pay per hour in your area the number of orders rejected or excepted drive the price up or down .. also I notice watching so many dashers it depends on how many there are in an area there are some out there they have only 1 or 2 dashers and to get good offers all they have to do is reject 2 or 3 time and a $3 order turns into a $12 .
the key is if you want better orders you need to deliver what you get in the best way you can other wise doodah orders drop because they use other aps to get there stuff and them other aps are making huge discount offers hell here we use ap to get food for out single income family of 4 with 40 and 50% off and free delivery it very completive we never order with out tipping but by the time they take off the discount there are no fees we would order uber eats all week and spend less them one or 2 doordash orders . there are so many delivery company's we always order from the one offering the best discount we have found the only way we loose on this is ordering from MacDonald's who up charge there stuff eat up the discount .
I think the doordash and all delivery app promotes tipping so they are ordering things everyday not leaving tips best thing to do is just let the orders sit and get cold and rattle the box or bag if your going up steps.
It does say on earn by time you will receive low offers. And tbh platinum is worth it on per offer I always keep mine between 70% - 75%. I honestly receive a bad offer rarely. And mostly, ok offers And then banger offers.
any how lesson here gig driver need to learn is to keep all the order aps look at which ap is offering the largest discount that is the ap use drive for you will get the best tips if I order and there is no fees because of a Dicount the driver will get that in a tip .
The earn by time can be good, but you have to be in a zone where most everyone tips. If you're in an area with a lot of non tippers, it just pushes all of those orders to the by time people and you make nothing.
Do dinner rush on earn by time,decline McDonald's orders. The problem is earn by time is only acceptable during dinner and late nights. The morning and afternoon is not good at all,for earn by time. Only use it to get your AR up,to move to platinum, bc unfortunately, u r competing with others who r platinum. Once u get platinum, u can do earn per order,but still do earn by time,after 8 pm.

I’ve watched UA-camrs do earned by time and make $20 an hour but if you take the average out of a bunch of their shifts, it’s probably closer to 17 maybe 18 an hour in a good market and maybe that’s because they have like 16 or $17 per hour, but I’m not too sure about that. $13 an hour active time is really only like nine or $10 an hour plus tips just because these apps don’t instantly give you another offer usually.
My earn by time average is 24+ an hour with the rate where I’m at is 14.75 an hour. A good amount of non tippers and low made up for by average and high tippers.
Need to communicate with customer then.... and depends how they are.... took a bathroom break and got a one star. Learned my lesson to only take them at restaurants so they can't track you on the GPS... Funny thing is I still arrived before ETA.

Let me explain there ion an increase in the cost of every thing housing cost the biggest here in Cinda , rents are high I mean a 2 Bedroom a apartment is up to $200- a month and anything larger hard to come by out side of renting a whole house for far more , so families of 4 and 6 live in these 2 bedroom apartment there dinning rooms and living rooms are bed room and nurseries they use the small kitchens for closet space . they keep minimum amount of snacks and food in home everything is order for one or two days that's it some can shop for a week but space is tight for sure I tell the kids all the time as they like to hold on to every thing in the name of toys we can either pay to house our selves or house the Thing we own Collectors must be able to afford to house and insure Both .. so High rent high energy costs no cars and such because owning a car is like paying a second rent and even bues and cab are Rough unless this family of 4 walks a trip to the mall when all is said and done to and from can be $40 and up just in bus or cab fair alone ..
your tip as a gig worker depends on the coupons and discounts offered to us and the businesses attention to detail as well a store that shorts you drink or sandwiches and such really is a deal breaker yes you get some refund but reoprdering costs are double so that means you suck it up and someone goes without .
Advice. Do with it as you wish. Raise your acceptance rate to 100. Cherry pick until you get down to 95%. Take every order or do earn by time until you are back up to 100%. What's the big deal? Adapt and use the brain you were blessed with.😊

That's if they have a high pay + good tips... Would say about 80-90% of EBT orders are no tip... really depends on your market. If it's a rich neighborhood maybe more tip orders. If I don't multiapp highest I make would be 10 bucks/hr
In texas it's 11. 12.50 in some places. It's ridiculous. I'm in denver now and it's 18.50. Problem is it's always locked and you can never do it unless it's like 4am
When I had a low AR doing EBT was horrible. Now I have an 85% AR. I’m averaging $20-$25 an hour. Sometimes more. Miles are good too.

Minimum wage in Florida is $12 an hour. 9.88 for tipped employees. They set the rate by minimum wage in the state. Be grateful Pennsylvania is 7.25

Saw you at Petsmart, I had four deliveries for $31 plus they threw in a conch Republic for nine dollars, so I made $45 and 45 minutes

Do dinner rush on earn by time,decline McDonald's orders. The problem is earn by time is only acceptable during dinner and late nights. The morning and afternoon is not good at all,for earn by time. Only use it to get your AR up,to move to platinum, bc unfortunately, u r competing with others who r platinum. Once u get platinum, u can do earn per order,but still do earn by time,after 8 pm.

I’ve watched UA-camrs do earned by time and make $20 an hour but if you take the average out of a bunch of their shifts, it’s probably closer to 17 maybe 18 an hour in a good market and maybe that’s because they have like 16 or $17 per hour, but I’m not too sure about that. $13 an hour active time is really only like nine or $10 an hour plus tips just because these apps don’t instantly give you another offer usually.
My earn by time average is 24+ an hour with the rate where I’m at is 14.75 an hour. A good amount of non tippers and low made up for by average and high tippers.

Stacked orders are where it's at on earn by time. My zone pays 14/hr so it's 28/hr for stacked orders

other people are having fun because they are doing you tube challenges and they are making less from door dash but the income on you tube is going up you either make big $$ sometime on dashing or make little less and make $500 to $1000 from the you tube video .. you are wrong it not reinforcing its ok to not tip that is not the reason at all the same person will use uber or other ap and they will tip well because uber and other are offering breaks or the restaurants and stores are offering a deal like free delivery for a month ECT . customers are tipping fine your just not following the tips which ap is offering the best and stores are offering the best deals today better deal the customer gets the better tip you get your tip is not just based on you in gig work the ap you gig for and there treatment and the stores they work with and how they deal with customers .. there are three services that must work togeather in some way to get them tips if you up charge me so I pay double for stuff tips and order will be far far less . these aps today are for many today are more necessity then Extra .
Let me explain there ion an increase in the cost of every thing housing cost the biggest here in Cinda , rents are high I mean a 2 Bedroom a apartment is up to $200- a month and anything larger hard to come by out side of renting a whole house for far more , so families of 4 and 6 live in these 2 bedroom apartment there dinning rooms and living rooms are bed room and nurseries they use the small kitchens for closet space . they keep minimum amount of snacks and food in home everything is order for one or two days that's it some can shop for a week but space is tight for sure I tell the kids all the time as they like to hold on to every thing in the name of toys we can either pay to house our selves or house the Thing we own Collectors must be able to afford to house and insure Both .. so High rent high energy costs no cars and such because owning a car is like paying a second rent and even bues and cab are Rough unless this family of 4 walks a trip to the mall when all is said and done to and from can be $40 and up just in bus or cab fair alone ..
your tip as a gig worker depends on the coupons and discounts offered to us and the businesses attention to detail as well a store that shorts you drink or sandwiches and such really is a deal breaker yes you get some refund but reoprdering costs are double so that means you suck it up and someone goes without .
Advice. Do with it as you wish. Raise your acceptance rate to 100. Cherry pick until you get down to 95%. Take every order or do earn by time until you are back up to 100%. What's the big deal? Adapt and use the brain you were blessed with.😊

That's if they have a high pay + good tips... Would say about 80-90% of EBT orders are no tip... really depends on your market. If it's a rich neighborhood maybe more tip orders. If I don't multiapp highest I make would be 10 bucks/hr
Biggest issue is that the rate is only $13. I get 14.5 per hour
In texas it's 11. 12.50 in some places. It's ridiculous. I'm in denver now and it's 18.50. Problem is it's always locked and you can never do it unless it's like 4am
