I remember first hearing this performance 5 years ago, my heart rate was elevated, I couldn't breath, I got shivers, I was feeling hot, I was feeling emotional and toward the end I was exhausted. Since first discovering Dimash, I have to have my daily dose of experiencing his performances. At least once a day, sometime five or more!

SOS at Slavic Bazaar 2018, his signature song that made him famous is incredible, that should be your next reaction. SOS is a French song from a French Canadian Rock Opera from the 70’s called Starmania. It’s a song about depression/suicide. That’s the song that most reactors start with. Dimash won the Slavic Bazaar competition in Belarus with this song in 2015 and in 2018 he was invited back as a guest artist. That competition put him on the world stage to success. In 2021 he was one of the judges of the competition. Dimash sings this song a lot! This performance at Slavic Bazaar in 2018, is my all time favourite but whichever one you choose, all are amazing! The look on your face all the way through this song was marvellous. It was like you were in ecstasy. So good 🥰 I had to laugh when you said this was your absolute favourite. Keep listening and you will have favourite after favourite until eventually you won't even know what to think anymore, you'll just have to accept that he will somehow blow your mind with every song. And even when he does not do all those vocal acrobatics, the emotion, the film making (or stage show), and the story telling will totally capture your imagination. Dimash sings many cover songs and love songs written by other people, but his original songs and traditional songs are really the ones to look out for. He has this amazing ability to make you turn your thoughts inwards and consider your life on Earth and how humanity acts. It is quite life changing. The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills (like so many others). It was written for the 2nd European Games 2019 in Minsk, Belarus and also won an award for Best Song of the Year in Russia in this year. The text is therefore very motivating.
This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements.
I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭 (and apparently many cameramen think so too, because in many close-ups of his performances only his hands can be seen. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. That's really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. Wow, he looks so commanding😱.
In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. Without subtitles, if you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and motivating his army to fight a losing battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning.
