Horrendously poor instructions. Both written and video. You don’t really show the details and written instructions are a headbanger. Not surprised that others felt the same.

    • @JayceBroda

And because the written instructions don’t make clear the order of assembly, you end up having to disassemble some parts and redo it again.

Definitely not a good assembly sheet. Video was only a fraction better. Was it the goal of the person behind the camera to get as far away from assembly as possible?

Going to echo the other comments here, this is a simply a bad assembly video. The paper instructions while difficult to parse at first, is at least factually accurate. The correct bolt labels are shown, the measurements provided are accurate, and if you follow the bolt placements to the T, it all goes together.
I’ll give credit in that this video is very useful from a macro perspective, showing you the workflow and the best sequence to do your build. The paper instructions lack step by step instructions and this video at least fills that gap well. On the other hand and why IMO this video needs to be re-shot is that on MANY occasions, this video is simply factually incorrect, and worse, if you were to follow the bolt numbers as verbalized in this video, you’ll end up short the right parts further in the build. The wrong bolt numbers get used multiple times. Bolt numbers that don’t exist are verbalized. Calling for the use of one bolt number when another VERY similar bolt (bolts 2 and 4 are same diameter but have a 10 mm difference in length, very easy to misjudge) is intended. The lack of close ups or POV is also frustrating.
Compared to other assembly videos from BoS, this is easily the worst quality one I’ve come across, and by a large margin.

So, I just put the one that I ordered together, it took probably 1.5 hours. Most of that was labeling the nuts/bolts/parts just for my own OCD. The video certainly helps you navigate through this process and can help speed things up. However, the most complicated part of this is the cable assembly, which just so happens to be where this video goes off the rails at the 8:20 mark. When the person assembling says, "I don't know what I'm doing" or "It's confusing", then you should probably stop, run through it a few times, then start the video again omitting all of that. The cable part took the longest because it isn't clear on the instruction sheet nor is the video instruction good. Also, he goes goes left to right instead of right to left on the instructions (Again, doesn't really matter, but in the spirit of not confusing people, just do it how the instructions are. Anyways, all is well that ends well.

I agree and would go a step further. While I appreciate the video, I think that if BoS is going to invest the time to create the videos, they should be professional. Including someone working the camera getting all the correct angles. This stuff isn't cheap and I don't spend my days building equipment. If the intent was to be helpful to their clients, which I believe it is, then do it right.....

Echoed. Also, maybe have someone on camera that at least is willing to pretend they actually like the product and appreciate the engineering of it. This guy shows no respect for the people that spend their money to buy it.

So definitely needed the video because the paper instructions are very tricky. What would help if the bolts were numbered on the packaging and I literally was guessing at the beginning. But overall very happy with it once done building lol

This video is not very good. He names some of the bolts wrong, 4 when he means 2. There should have been closeups each time he puts something together that's not visible to the camera, the pulleys, the cables. The printed instructions do not make it clear which bolt is which. The length of the bolt does not match the number in the list of bolts. I've been waiting for all the boxes to arrive via UPS, but they lost a couple and delayed a couple more for over 2 weeks. On top of that, I'm missing the two weight stack poles. My experience with this product and Bells of Steel has been very frustrating and aggravating.

I just purchased the Weight Stack All-in-One Trainer and I am dreading putting it together, especially since there is not even a video for it. The belt squat took me twice as long as it should of because of poor instructions and bolts not labeled well. Good thing I love using it!

I'll say the one good thing about this video is the order at which he puts it together. Its fairly simple to put together just following this video along and also reading the instructions.
