  • Hello everyone,
    Welcome to Chasing Adventures
    I’ve been really enjoying kingCamps camping products for the past few months and yet again they came out with a new instant tent. And for being an instant tent, it’s very spacious and offers a separate sleeping area and so much more. so I am very excited to share my experience with you.
    And to keep me warm, I will be using Silvel Diesel Heater and to power the diesel heater, Vtoman has provided their 1500watt Power station but I had issues with it so I had to use the Bluetti 200-watt power station as a backup, but in the end, it all worked out.
    So please sit back relax and enjoy today's trip with us.

      @@ChasingAdventuresCO My wife’s car is an Outback and my car is a Forester Touring.
      We LOVE our Subie’s and when they wear out, we’ll replace them with another Subaru.
      We have Michelin Cross Climate 2 tires on both of our Subaru’s.
      Their Awesome on dry, wet, slushy, snowy, logging and forest roads.
      Their Not good for serious off roading, but they’re great on the roads mentioned above.
      We don’t need to change to winter tires, as the Cross Climate 2 tires are for year round use.
      We live in a very mountainous area of north central Washington state, 5 miles from town (25 miles from the city), on a private road that we have to plow and maintain ourselves.
      We get 5-7 feet of snow every winter.
      Subie’s have great traction but the Cross Climate 2 tires keep our Subaru’s planted on the road.
      During our heavy snow months, we put our Subie’s into Xmode just to get up our private road, further up our mountain and into our garage.
      I’m glad you’re enjoying your Subie.
      Change the oil Every 5K miles and change your CVT fluid every 60K miles.
      Every 30K miles change your front and rear differential, transfer case and bleed your brakes.
      Be faithful with this maintenance and your Subaru should last you between 250K - 300K miles. These are the secrets to the longevity of your Subaru.
      One of my sisters in-law puts 300K miles on their Outback’s every 6 years like clockwork.
      Both of our Subie’s are 2019 year models. My wife’s Outback is going in for the 30K maintenance next week.
      My Forester has only 13K miles as I’m retired and seldom drive anymore.

    I like to see the new gear but my absolute favorite thing about these videos are the amazing dinners. Also, I wish I wasn’t so sour on Kingcamp, they do have some cool stuff.

      haha, one of my main reasons why I go camping is for the food too. I don't really eat instant food at home. (wife don't let me) but I can when I am alone but still, I try to add some greens with my meals to satisfy the wifey. LOL KingCamp does make cool stuff!! what happened with your experience with it?

      @@ChasingAdventuresCO I had a cot leg break, I contacted the company for over a month in attempt to buy another one. It was maddening. I finally bought it, it was listed under a fishing reel. Then it took another week and a half for shipping. It was a bad enough experience that I simply avoid them and Mission Mountain products… BUT I secretly would love a hammock chair from them!😜

    I like your power station. I bought the EBL 1000 which works well, however for the DC output it has a 14volt (cigarette lighter) not 12 volt..Seems odd EBL has made it this way because the 12 volt is more widely used the the larger 14. Did you test the EBL as well?
    On another front, I ordered similar traction boards. How do you mount yours to the car? Or do you store them inside? Much appreciated and love how Pepper watches you set up! 😂

    • @ChasingAdventuresCO
      @ChasingAdventuresCO  7 місяців тому +1

      EBL works great! especially with the diesel heater. and the traction board I have came with a carrying case so I just store it in the car. but I do want to mount it outside but haven't found a solution yet. if I do, you know I will make a video of it~! LOL Pepper is always watching what I do. its really cute!

    • @briantodd4887
      @briantodd4887 7 місяців тому +1

      @@ChasingAdventuresCO yeah- I’m happy with EBL station. It seems solid for my needs. I think we have different roof boxes, but I found a temporary place to keep my recovery boards. They fit perfectly inside the Thule Force XT Sport box on the floor of the case (sandwiched in the center between the four screw knobs). This eats up some interior space, but I still can pack a good bit of stuff on top and sides. Those boxes hold a lot. The only other alternative I had was to drill holes into the top of the 83liter Roam case; which I didn’t want to do. Gotta love our pets and what we do for them! I plan to do extended car camping with my black cat, Luther. However, I’m looking into options for durable car bucket seat covers to prevent scratches. His nails are sharp and he hates those boots! Lol. If you know of any good companies for seat covers, let me know. Much appreciated 👍👍👍😂😂😂

    • @ChasingAdventuresCO
      @ChasingAdventuresCO  7 місяців тому +1

      @@briantodd4887 that is a good place to put the traction board. only concern is, if you have the box full of gear, you have to remove them to get the traction board out. but I wouldn't want to drill a hole into the Ram Case either. (TOO Expensive) LOL I had a cat once too and she loved being out camping without a leash. she was like a dog trapped in a cats body. ~ miss her. and I couldn't recommend any seat covers for you as I haven't tried any but Im sure any of the animal-rated seat covers will be better than nothing! let me know how it goes~

    Thanks again for another great adventure, Brian. Of course you already know I look forward the most to your crafty creations you make for your meals. Your outward satisfaction is always the best with your facial and verbal expressions of approval, lol!!
    On a more serious note, do you think a 400W Bluetti would be ok for cpap use while camping for at least two days without recharge?

    • @ChasingAdventuresCO
      @ChasingAdventuresCO  7 місяців тому +1

      haha, Thank you for always joining us! we truly appreciate it! and most CPAP machines runs average 50 watts so with a 400Wh power station, and you usally get 80% of the advertised Wh so 320 true Wh then, you will get 6.4 hours of continues usage.
