Your Starburst She-ra is actually Glimmer in the Starburst outfit! Not sure if that's disappointing or exciting for you! I know Starburst is usually more expensive and harder to find, but that is essentially the price for the clothing because I don't think the actual doll is any different than the original She-ra? So you could pick up a plain She-ra for cheap eventually to dress 😊
I second this! I didn't know about Starburst She-Ra, but I had Glimmer as a kid and mine's hair also became more blonde over time. She was one of my favorite dolls, so I'd recognize her colors anywhere!

I'm glad I found a UA-camr that help inspired me to collect dolls. I feel like seeing vintage dolls in person then ebay you have an idea what it look like in person eye than the photos. Glad you do these video. Teaching me about how to shop dolls.

I’m sad to hear the antique mall where you are isn’t yielding much! I’ve been surprised that the random areas of Alabama have been decent (and in some cases excellent) for dolls considering how few people live in this area!! If you’re decently near Seattle at least you have that option - I bet the thrifting is great there :o I’ve never toy hunted there at all as the closest I’ve been is San Francisco and I’ve only been to SF once and didn’t get to hunt at all :( Is Facebook marketplace good there? Atlanta seems to suck for thrifting but the Facebook marketplace there is glorious. Houston was the same way!
I am in Port Angeles WA and it is ridiculously hard to find anything decent when it comes to dolls at thrift shops. I got lucky recently and found a nice 1967 twist n turn barbie. She was in pretty rough shape but I restored her and she turned out beautifully .
The Dream House is very nice! It is missing cardboard pillows, records, pennant and instructions. I will keep an eye out for them, sometimes I get odds and ends Barbie stuff in lots. I wouldn’t let the pen marks bother you, almost always these have at least a child’s name on them, at least yours is just initials!
I’ll definitely be looking more closely too! I don’t believe I’ve found them but maybe I can find another messed up house with them… thanks so much! Flutterina has the pegs from a different wing backpack broken off inside of her. If you gently heat her, you might be able to get them out. I’d recommend heating Peek-a-blue and Castaspella before trying to put in or remove their backpacks

I agree with you about it being helpful to not *need* complete dolls. I get most of mine second hand, same with my calico critters, and I don't even like the clothes most of the time so buying a doll or critter without their clothes for dirt cheap is way better for me than buying it new and going "okay, now I have to sell all this off". I mean, sometimes it's a time vs money thing, but also I can get a critter that needs a little TLC, clean him up, and have something quite rare that might just not exist anymore or be very very expensive. I love this hobby, but I feel like $50 for one thing is too much for me. My Slumber Party RH Robin was that price and while I adore her.... idk, I kind of wish I'd just gotten her without her stuff for cheaper.

I wanted the original one - the reproduction can actually be MORE expensive than an original in good condition and I like the treasure hunt :) The reproduction was official and was done through Mattel creations

In lieu of hiring a professional videographer to follow me around in stores (which would likely yield no thrift footage as it would have me removed and banned for causing a disturbance, I imagine)… unfortunately there really isn’t much to be done :/ I don’t have the money nor the means to do much, I’m sorry to say but I’ve absolutely taken these comments into account in the past and have tried to fix it (walking much slower, holding camera steadier etc.) I have worked hard to mitigate any swinging or fast camera movements but ultimately this is how the videos are going to be :/ I appreciate the feedback and it’s something I’ve worked on extensively already but I get these comments now that I’ve put in the effort more than I ever did before 🥲 so I’m not sure where to go from here
Oh but! A channel that may serve you better is my friend Queen Bean’s Collectibles! Most of her thrift hunt videos are photos in a slideshow that she narrates. Definitely wouldn’t give you a headache?

my cat Mr whiskers passed away on the 8th of this month he live 12 years and two months before he passed i have one other cat i love she-ra to i grew up watching her i dont like the new she-ra my brother like he-man his name is adam mine is serena besides having the toys i havestill have 3 i wish they would have made she-ra as big as a barbie i even had all the sticker albums and coloring books the sticker albums you could buy for .50 the stickers were.25 crazy right you cant get anythingt hat cheap today
Bradley was just one of the distributors that brought them over here. Bradley’s dolls are pose dolls. I am pretty certain that these aren’t actually released dolls but original pose doll kits (70’s or 80’s I assume) put together in the modern day.

also as far as combs go, if I get a new doll that has one, they go in the recycle bin. I'm not about combs.

Those Diva Starz are 2nd edition mini dolls IIRC I had them when I was a kid. As to why there are so many of the same one I do not know.
