bob blabberbottom pokemon go lost staggering amounts of players in recent months from it's highs. the entire reason so many people were playing pokemon go was it was a social fad to get out and 'collect 'em all' but as that proved impossible and support for the game didn't add the remainder of the first generation nor added any interesting game play mechanic the game fad died rather fast but the game itself still has a healthy player based as remnants of the fad

@MoreAliA. Hey man, i have a suggestion and would like to know what you think of this. Just like in the pokemon series, a trainer goes to different gyms and battles, and they would earn a metal. After gathering 8 metals they would battle in the "Johto league". If you could do this in pokemon go it would give the game a purpose other than gathering.
If you press the next medal you get. You can see your progress. like if this was helpful

hi ali and ppl, just a tip for training. if you go into a friendly gym with low cp pokemon you get way more points for training. The lower your cp the higher the "reward". For calculation it uses your highest cp pokemon from the six chosen... Have fun

Just a tip if you only kill the first one with a Pokémon that is lower or the same you can lvl a gym up faster (u got 743 experience for kill them all if you only kill the first with a lower you get ca 500) so you do it much faster ;)
Or kill them all with tad lower cp pokemons and get even more. But yeah.
They kinda tweaked it. Used to you'd get 500+ gym prestige but when I was battling gyms this week after the update I tried a low CP pokemon and ran after I beat the first one? Only gave me like 100 prestige. Really kinda hate that because now you burn through so many revives and potions if you want to join a high level gym (and being Team Instinct there are NOTHING BUT high level friendly gyms around).
Good news is that since the update the gyms in my area have started to be AGGRESSIVELY defended. I've had 8 pokemon on Gyms since Sunday and 9 for Thursday and Friday and am currently waiting to collect 10 in a few hours. Hopefully this luck can hold out and I can buy some lucky eggs next week.

you do gyms all wrong. 1) learn to dodge 2) actually focus on the fight 3) think about which pokemon you are going to use against each defender 4) train with lower cp pokemon so you actually get a reasonable amount of prestige 5) don't use charge moves if they are less effective than the fast move. 6) Join Instinct

just wanted to throw it out there, before i evolve i normally favorite the 70-80 pokemon im going to so there in a neat little list for me (faster). my best is 78 pokemon in a half hour (78,000 xp). Helps when you have to conserve on lucky eggs, btw big fan hope you'll keep it up.

ali, 1st of all please do a video showing what the different team leaders say when you appraise them because you always know what your leader means when you appraise your pokemon and nobody else that I know (including me) doesn't.2nd of all, those figures are awesome

Ali, not sure if you know this by now or not, but to see your progress on a medal, when you click on it, click on the grayed out Gold Medal version of the medal you're looking at and it'll display your numerical progress. It was silly of them to go and hide it. As an fyi also, when you take on Gyms, you want to make sure your Pokemon are just below the CP of the lowest or 2nd lowest Pokemon in the Gym. You get +500 Prestige if your highest Pokemon in your party is less than the CP of the Pokemon you're battling against. This is how people level up Gyms VERY quickly.
One other comment about the new gym battles.... I notice that friendly gyms began to reach level 10 super fast after the update came out. Must be a strong concentration around where I live because almost every gym jumped to level 10 and if you weren't quick to get into them you're now left out.

bepPRTY ive seen it on haircut tutorials , he puts some type of brown powder in his hair to cover the thin areas to make it look like he still has a straight hairline but he doesnt . all that hair in tha front is thin & his hairline is gone .

When training a gym the highest cp in your team determines the amount of prestige gained. So if the highest in your team is half the cp of the one in a gym it will go up 1000. The most prestige you can get is 6000
hey Ali if u need charmanders there is a park I know with a charmander nest and its a vulpix nest
You get 1000 prestige (level up) points if you train with pokemon at about half the CP of the lowest gym defender. Defeat only the first pokemon and then 'run'...this way you will receive the 1000 pts and save using a revive. Using low CP Pokemon in battles to level up takes more time so you are likely to run out of time if you continue past the first, maybe the second gym defenders.

Click on the next level medal and you will see your progress to get either a +2 or +3 bonus. Once you get gold, you can see a counter of what you have caught.

Does nobody else notice the stardust doesn't go up with multiple egg hatches.Stays on 90279 from the charmander to the first pidgey evolution. I've noticed on mine sometimes I don't get the candy added either, especially if you get the same pokemon twice. I wrote to Niantic before this update and still does it! You should get stardust for evolving even if just 100

I had kept the volume pretty low in the start of the video, I thought that track was to walk your phone around in a mini car or something. There is a small cafe in Mumbai, India that offers that kind of a service. The patrons place their phone in the small wagon of a toy train which is locked and they get a key for it. Eggs hatch effortlessly and people have wonderful meals and conversations without having to look at their phones.
Ali I'm kind of disappointed in you. when you train a gym you pick your squad half the CP of the lowest poke and for beating 1 Pokémon you get 1000 prestige each.

I actually created a spreadsheet to get organized before I do a mass evolution. It looks at how many candies I have, then it looks at how many Pokemon I have and it figures out for me how many I need to discard before I pop the lucky egg so that there is no time wasted during the evolutions. I did 73 evolutions for 73,000 XP. It was a super nice hit for level 26 to 27. I really think 73 is near the max you can do in the 30-minute egg time window.

Hey AliA, check out trainer tips videos to see the best way to train up gyms. you should be gaining close to 1000 prestige per pokemon you defeat.
it's tells you how much more grass type Pokemon you need to catch before you reach +3 catch bonus by taping the third medal

Congrats on dinging Level 29! I did a mass bunch of evolutions myself and just hit Level 27. Also four more Snorlax candies will take my 100% IV Snorlax above the 2.5K CP mark. Hurricane Matthew couldn't keep me down and away from Pokemon GO too long, for sure. Much love from Charleston, SC, USA!

Topic for Next Video: How to effectively level up a gym. Before it was just pick a lower CP pokémon with a type bonus and you'd get about 500 prestige. Now I have no idea how to level them up properly >.>
I favorite Pokémon I'm ready to a evolve. When I get ready to use my Lucky egg I set it to favorites. After I evolve the Pokémon I remove the star. It makes evolutions faster.

I live in Johannesburg, South Africa and 3/4 or the Gyms were level 10 before this update, I think its because the game died down a lot here so there are less people taking down Gyms. its quite cool, getting loads of Pokecoins!
+MoreAliA To raise up gyms faster you should choose mons that have CP lower than the first pokemon or second (etc.) and only battle with those mons as far as you can. You'll get way better prestige points from that...
Even taking out 2 - 4 mons you'll get more like 1000 to 3000 points of prestige.
ex: first mon is 1000 your mon should be 999 or lower and the same with the other 5 mons you have.

All the gyms in Australia are all level 10 and filled with dragonites. So basically the lowest Pokemon is 2000 something and the highest 3000 something
