Editor Jack is an incredible asset to this channel!
I’ve BEEN SAYIN that Jack is helping take these boys to new heights. I’ve said this before but the quality of the edit each video just gets better and better
Your mum has an incredible asset
Jack is this you?
Found Jack’s burner
That meme at the end had me weakkk 💀💀💀💀
Thankyou guys so much for the opportunity it was real blessing to be apart of one of your videos. 😀🏹
Dude, Hawkeye couldn't have done better. Amazing job!
How did you resist the urge to shoot down the drone?
if aimbot was a person
@@matthewpopow6647what are you on about dude
Great job!!
It was a great and frankly under-appreciated idea to use sparklers for the fire arrows. Other, quite prominent UA-camrs have made various videos about the impracticality of fire arrows. The arrows tend to snuff themselves out unless a really weak bow is used, due to the massive wind resistance. But sparklers are made with some chemical goodness that keeps the reaction going even in a strong air current. I've never seen this approach to fire arrows before, but evidently it works wonderfully despite its simplicity. Well done to solve this old problem basically on the fly. I've seen lengthy videos by experts trying to come up with a way to overcome the fire arrow problem, and here it's worked out in a quick sentence.
It is low grade thermite
High Intelligence vs High Wisdom basically xD
Most UA-camr's that are considering the option usually do so in consideration of history and practicality. On history...it's clear. Medieval times didn't have them, at least not in the form we know them as. As for practicality, sparklers will light a highly flammable gas easily, but they are less likely to ignite a wooden beam, for example.
So yeah. They found a solution to the problem they had, but they didn't solve a problem with fire arrows itself.
So does a ball of rag soaked in pitch and flammable oils behind the arrow head go out?
They were definitely used in medieval times on through… I’ll accept that they didn’t probably look like it does in say the movie gladiator.
But burning projectiles were definitely used in warfare 1000 years or more ago…
That discussion you're referring to is largely if this is practical *without modern pyrotechnics*, or for that matter even black powder. Obviously there's record of incendiary weapons as far back as you care to look, but it's an open question just how situational they are, just how much they gimp range, and just how specialized the projectiles have to be.
That said, props to these guys. This is a really elegant fix if you're not so constrained and that shot was epic.
That slowmo flame shot was one of the most beautiful shots I've seen.
They should do the flaming balloon thing again, only they should fill each balloon with different metal dusts. That way the flames might be different colors when they burn each material.
oh yes, great suggestion, hope they read your comment
Bump for visibility
YES
Add oxygen and space them farther apart.
:D Flippin' Genius! I love it!
Jacks hand movements after getting called out was gold 😂
I didn't realise how funny the hand movements were until Brett said and I went back to watch again 😂
Where's the slowie on that?
Lol😅
I hope the warehouse is well ventilated because thats a lot of propane build up
When can we get Science with Jack ?
You should fill some balloons with an exact 2:1 mix of hydrogen and oxygen in each balloon. And then do the sparkler arrow.
You'll love it, I promise. Just...make sure to have some extra sturdy blast protection, and hearing protection. And...actually...do it outside, somewhere far from any habitation.
6:55 Did ya notice all the reflective "Smilies" in the wine glasses?
John
Those multi-balloon fire shots were spectacular! It was fascinating how the sparklers stopped sparking as they passed through the clouds of propane, then only lit back up once they were in air again. Science! I love it :D
Ditto, I was quite surprised they stopped sparkling, didn't expect that
That is because the propane gas only had a small amount of oxygen mixed in and when it came back into the area of mostly oxygen the fire could "breathe" again. Propane is flammable, but propane fire also needs oxygen to flourish
Fill a 200 gallon, airtight sealed aquarium with 100% propane. Also have mounted inside a sparkler that can be ignited electrically by remote. What will happen? The sparkler material has its own oxidizer, right? It should burn. Also curious what a sparkler would do in orbit…zero g and vacuum.
@@Andrew-13579 It would depend on the composition of the sparkler, I don't know if they have their own oxidizer or not. If they do, then it would ignite, and burn like normal, though probably less energetically since there would be no additional oxygen available to it from the air (like in the video where they stopped sparking while in the cloud of propane). If they do not, then it would not ignite at all, though it might degrade in the heat from the electric arc.
In zero G with atmosphere it probably wouldn't look much different to here on earth since there's not much actual flame, thought the smoke wouldn't rise away from it so that would be different. Without atmosphere, it would again depend on the sparkling composition, if there was oxidizer included, it would happily burn, if not, then, as before, it wouldn't.
An easy way to test if they have their own oxidizer mixed in would be to light one then plunge it into water, if it continues to burn, then it has oxidizer, if it fizzles out, then there is none, or at least not enough to sustain the combustion.
Those fire slowmo shots were incredible! Well done Jack and the video team.
Yeah I think at that point I realized I'm a closeted pyro lol. I just want to go watch a bunch of slow mow fire videos now.
Bet we see T-Shirts soon! 🙂
Jesus Christ died for your sins on the cross. Repent and believe in him or you will be separated from God The Father for all eternity and face hell forever, never ending
Big shout out to AJ and Michael working in the background, lighting the sparklers, explaining the propane combustion ratio, and putting out the fires!
Jack + science = 100% quality content :D Love it HR! You guys make life so much better lol. *yar*
I REALLY hope yall kept that rainbow arrow in all those spray cans for the museum! That would look awesome sitting on a shelf somewhere 😃 amazing vid as always guys!! Keep it up! 🥰
13:14 this is true. A common chemistry class demonstration is that the explosion of a balloon with mixed gas is much more violent than pure propane/hydrogen.
The flaming arrows is my most favorite thing you guys have ever done!! The slowy was perfection!!!
For a good *thump* out of your balloons, use an oxy-propane mix from a welding torch. Would recommend doing it outdoors because it will be quite concussive.
Me: Good to see Rexy back on his feet
Herron: Laces out
The shot through the toilet paper rolls is impressive. I'm an avid archery hunter and it takes a lot to send an arrow through a hole the size of a golf ball.
Agreed. There's a reason it was considered an amazing feat when Odysseus did it.
11:19 I believe I can see Gaunson walking FORWARDS in this shot, even though his punishment was to walk backwards for the REST OF THE VIDEO!😂
Their Production quality is Incredible!
Good to see Jai out there. He’s come a long way and is doing absolutely awesome at all Archery comps.
Jai is a legend and took our accuracy to new levels this vid. Certainly wouldn’t have got such cool results without him!
@@howridiculous best slowies of the year
@@howridiculous he is brilliant and dedicated. In comps he is pushing a lot of the adults off the podium which is fantastic only time will tell how far he can make it. So hard for a West Aussie to make it in archery. But his dad was always there making sure Jai had all the support he needed.
he couldnt hit anything
those plates braking in slowmo frames .... I just pictured it printed on a tshirt each frame of the slowmo and a write up like (my mood today)
Wow. The fire slowy on that first ballon was incredible
What blew my mind was seeing the sparklers stop sparkling when they were passing through the cloud of propane then starting again on the other side when they had oxygen again. Incredible seeing the flame start at that point too. No oxygen no flame.
Genius idea to use the sparklers. I absolutely love how you guys take all of your failures like, "Well, that didn't work, HOW ABOUT THIS?!" You don't just pack it in after a few tries and say good day. You keep going until you find the solution. You are scientists. :D
Editor Jack is the brains behind the channel for sure!
Flaming arrow, just by the title you know this ones gonna be, “fire!”
Editor Jack is a flipping STAR. ❤
Using a pro archer was genius!
3:33 For those who don’t know, they did a video where they smashed things with a gigant hammer. However you gotta watch the video to find out how these shirts came to be.
Seeing a professional archer at work IS a true gem
Watching the air/gas ratio mid air in slowmo is insane
also, add oxygen to the balloon for a nice and big bang
That first one ballon fire slomo was absolutely stunning
12:24 The toy moved itself 😱🥶💀 in the background
Need more Jack content. Dude's awesome 😎
They should do a collaboration with the slo mo guys
Jack needs his own science channel!
Need to do this propane ballon test in the giant ballon’s…would be incredible to see the flame those things make
12:00 that pink balloon escaping the flames is AWESOME !
🙂 Thanks for an EPIC video guys. Remember the arrow through spray paint cans when you do your next set of shirts!
Stoichiometry is always fascinating, I wonder how amazing alternating balloons of propane and oxygen would look doing that outside at night
"i think my flying was exitingly cool", someone quote that in a book
I really appreciate how your punishments are hilarious and NOT gross! Clever boys!
Those flaming slowies are magic! 😍
1:36
He pulled an Odysseus
dji never got that much hype for a shot in his life xD
"How Ridiculous" will this be? Looks to be right on target for awesome!
Okay, did Gaunson forget he was suppose to be walking backwards in the last 2 or 3 minutes of the video?
Can we have more Chemistry with Jack plz! ;)
The glass shot slow motion was beautiful
Jack's explanation of propane and oxygen, LOVED IT!!! THE HAND MOVEMENTS TO AND HIS SMILE!!! I JUST LOVED IT!!! JACK JACK JACK
This is something a bit different, which I really like. Good job guys
this feels like an ad disguised as a video
🚀🚀Let’s Talk
I have a surprise for you
Jack is a legend, isn’t he? What an asset to the fun.
These are the most fast-paced videos on UA-cam. Bar none. I know what you’re going for- and it’s working for you guys. Congrats. You’ve captured the younger audience with the pace- and your long time fans still like
you three a lot to stick around and watch the experiments. Don’t be afraid to slow it down again though boys- we’ll still be here!
Their main goal is actually bring all the glory to Jesus❤️❤️✝️
Found the pace a little bit stressing this time, but then, 30 isn't younger audience anymore 😅
Next time the giant balloons would be nutty! Great vid as always guys. Stand up performance from Rexy today
Great Rexy call 😂
That rainbow painted arrow from the spray paint cans would be a sweet piece of exclusive merch.
15:24 Earthbound music!
Editor Jack becomes a man of pure science with those hand movements
Love how Jack Wallace lays down a succinct answer then, and middle tall guy's only take away is, "you moved your hands funny", then right after the middle height one is like, "How did that happen? There's no way of knowing!"
Extra fun when you consider that was our good friend Jack that edited it.
That first flame slowie may be my new favorite! The blue and orange roiling burn was spectacular!
The fire slowies made me cry!!! 10 outta 10 GOATS!!!
10:41 can we all agree there will never ever ever be a better slowy than this, incredible 😮👏👏
The delay on the propane flame is quite interesting.
The slow mo shot of the five balloons deserves an award.
That was so awesome!!!
the drone is so user friendly its amazing
It really is. Jack was the only one who had flown an FPV before. The fact that right out of the box we could fly it around a warehouse was so cool
Bringing in the ringer was a stroke of genius lads, banger
Some of the best Slowies of the year.
That arrow vs. Ferrari idea at 1:20 is excellent. Idk how you could time catching the arrow, while still being safe, but there's gotta be someone out there willing to collab and go for it.
If they’re travelling at the same speed then wouldn’t it essentially be more or less the same as grabbing it whilst stationary
3:14 slowly of the Year! 😍 Or will there be even better ones 🤔
Edit: There were
Jack, "explains why it works". Standford, "we dont know why it worked, but it worked!" lol
It's always a great day when How Ridiculous uploads!! Team 44
So happy to have weekly video uploads again. Everyone needs a little ridiculousness in their life.
Well done Jai, great young fella with a huge future.
Rexy standing just to prove Stanford wrong was great.
Good stuff men... If you look at 3:09 to about 3:16 it looks like Rexy is blinking! BTW, I got my Rexy last week in the mail (Now Rexore The Terrible!) and I love him! Thanks mates. Cheers!
How did u notice that
@@wonderbix4536 I don't really know, I just saw it by chance. Thought It looked cool. Cheers.
The first multi balloon fireball slowie is the slowie of forever! Great job boys..
Seeing the flaming propane spill out of the cups is one of the best slowie experiences ever.
Hands down those fire slowies were the coolest slowies that have ever been on this channel
Always appreciate how little time is wasted with these videos, straight into the action and it just don't stop!
It's perfect for people with short attention spans lol
These vids never get old! Love y’all, boys!
If I were the archer, I would have the urge to shout uga waka teki wo kurau!🤣
Could you guys make a separate channel/playlist where you post all of your best slow-motion shots? Or post compilations

Editor Jack ALWAYS comin in clutch. HR would not exist without him.
Umm it did for several years. He's great but this is just not true.

1:34 Thank you for quoting that movie. That is the best movie Disney has made in the last 25 years. And they almost didn't make it..... And they thought it was gonna be a dud. Can you believe that?
I'm new to your guys's videos. It's been about 2 weeks now but I can't stop watching them. I'm addicted. I've been binging everything. I think if you guys were able to do a collaboration with the Viva la dirt leauge guys from New Zealand that would be comedy gold. 100 million views and a month
Awesome video! Respect always to the boys and a big shoutout to editor Jack, the editing on this was amazing 🔥🏹 not to mention that drone piloting!!
the fire slowy was probably the best slowmo i have ever... EVER seen. 🤩
Phantom + flames = GENIUS!! Thanks, Guys!
Love these videos, seems dangerous, I love it😃👍
Science with Jack?! Great video guys. Would love to see different coloured flames (borax, magnesium sulfate, etc)
