I have service and check engine light today I changed the oil not long ago but I not reset the car. Could that the reason the error indicators are on? it also seems a bit sluggish to me, it feels good at 90 km / h in five gears. I try reseting the car tomorrow I hope this solve my problem.
It sounds like you have an engine fault/malfunction, that's why the engine management light is on . The SERVICE light is to indicate that this type of fault requires a garage or service garage, it's misleading I know, it's just the way Renaults are. The sluggish performance leads me to think that a scan of the engine system would answer that question, once the engine fault is corrected the the SERVICE light will also turn off.
You turned off the oil change soon light, but I’m looking for how to turn of the light that actually says service next to the mileage reset button? This is the service light is it not?
The "Service" light is not always a change your oil etc warning, the service light you are seeing is illuminated for a maintenance reason, it is usually followed by another light light to highlight where the problem area is. For example an airbags fault = air bag light + "Service" . When "Service" is illuminated you will need further diagnostic to find the root cause. I hope this helps. Ger
@@gerardwhite5925 engine warning light flashes when stationary, but goes away again, thinking its a coil pack breaking down and misbehaving when its hot
@@gerardwhite5925 not that i have noticed, it still goes well. Did a cam position sensor and 2 coils last year, throwing multiple random misfire codes so i did cps it helped ish then did coils, should have changed all 4 but i own a 20 year old car because I cant afford a nice new one lol
@@Jackofallmotards I get what your saying. If it drives OK up hills, generally the coils are fine. If the Engine management light flickers on when the rpm is low, this could suggest a idle control problem. Do you have access to a scanner
Thank you, that worked great and now that annoying blinking light is gone.
I have just reset my 'service due', thanks for this video.

What is the capacity of the carter? Is it 5L (the whole can or less)?
The engine takes a full five litres 5L, of oil.

So my light that says "service" is on, is that due to a fault code being present?
Is there another light illuminated also?

@@Jackofallmotards I suspect so. Is it worse travelling up hill?
