For the benefit of the non Fijian viewers 'Kau ni mata i gone' is when children are taken to the Mother's village for the first time.. this is also accorded with full Fijian protocol and this in turn will coincide with the wedding.. Wedding in this time of the year is not uncommon as Decembers is regarded as most auspicious month as most are on their break from work and would be able to be present thereon..It'll be interesting to watch how the families will manage around with the 'kau ni mata ni gone and wedding protocol in tow considering the time and the resources they have.. God bless the Kainoqu(s)..

A good meaty fish like mullet is perfect to braise in coconut milk with curry. Samoa calls that “Sua i’a”. Any meat cooked this way is delicious. Can’t go wrong with it.
