The full quote that these politicians dont seem to get right is that a “few bad apples spoil the whole bunch”. When you leave rotting fruit together it causes the good fruit around it to rot faster.
Me: Sees the title “Miss Malaysia says..” Me: please god let it not be baa... “...color is a choice” Me: *sonofabitch*. (Immediately google how to change my nationality) In all seriousness, majority of us, Malaysians are in solidarity with #blacklivesmatter. The so called miss malaysia’s comment is incredibly ignorant. Since this embarrassing thing happened, people can learn from her mistake...
Thank you for this, I'm black and im so glad you all are speaking up and not trying to defend her. Again thank you and I hope someone like you becomes miss Malaysia :)
"He wanted to take certain qualities about me and wanted to instill it in himself" Yup, that's why I watch David and Boze. I want to speak my mind more often like David and be more outgoing like Boze
Same! My life and my character have evolved so much for the better since I started watching JK, and particularly David. One thing that will stick with me for the rest of my life is when he talked about how as a kid he was so afraid to talk in front of other people, and when he realized how fucking stupid that fear was he forced himself to speak up in public. That resonated with me so fucking much, and I can honestly say I would not be where I am in life with out his stories.
regarding the "bad apples", somebody was saying like if there's one bad doctor, that doctor is revoked from their license, charged, and jailed. they cannot ever get their job back. periodt. this should be what happens to the bad cops.
I gotta be honest. when Boze was still with smosh they were quashing her spirit. it's when she got free from their thumb and started coming in on her own that she became one of the favorite guests of all.
I resonate with David and his Mom! I am not from this country and I am well aware of the history and struggle of the black community in the country because i chose to educate myself! If i can do it you can do it!
I’ve just been waiting for the Samantha Kathy news to reach the US. When David covered it the other day on InstaTV i just cackled. Like YAS ROAST HER DAVID and now with the addition with Boze ouff 🔥🔥 Also, we do not claim her 🤮
One of the main issues from our conversations in COJ with regards rioters, there are people who say that if you don't support riots and destruction of property that you are racist and against the movement. For example in Citizens of Joemalia, members were saying exactly what you are saying. Riots are understandable but detracts from the movement. Especially the Asians who said this were instantly called racist. What were told is that we value buildings over the lives of people when that is not even remotely close to what we were saying.
David makes a great point around the 22 min mark about the fallacy in the "just a few bad apples" argument, because a few will spoil the bunch. I don't if this is true (since I read it on reddit), but it has recently came out that one of the cops at the George Floyd murder was actually a rookie (Thomas Lane) who spoke up to against Derek Chauvin to get off his neck. But since he was a rookie; everyone else was his senior, they disregarded what he said due to the hierarchy in the system. And cops who speak up get called a rat/get shunned, or fired - so it seemed like a lose/lose situation for him. Not say he shouldn't have done more (like shoved him off) though...
David- regarding Asian parents, I think most people in Asia dislike Black people. If your parents werent in American....they wouldnt be so open minded. Which is why the malaysian model dont get it, because its hard for non-americans to understand. Its taken me to few days to really understand this topic, I am chinese australian.
"Most people in Asia dislike black people?" Asia is the largest continent. It's not MOST, it's SOME IGNORANT ones that hate. Don't generalize. It doesn't help any one group of people when people generalize. It doesn't justify anything.
Tf? "hard for non-american to understand" did u not see how many Malaysians here condemning her act? Even us Malaysians are mortified by her mere existance. How do you even take that leap associating her to Asians in general? We understand systemic oppression quite well, in fact, majority of us experienced it. We stand in with BLM movement just like how we stand with Syiria, Rohingya, Palestine and any other oppressed group of people. This is all in the name of humanity.
Was just rewatching an older episode with Boze and was wondering if/when she was coming back. Love the podcast with my fav guests being Ed, Nick, Alex, Khalif, Geo, and of course Boze.
Damn I missed Boze. Things haven't been the same on the Big Mood podcast since she's not there lately. Now the only fun one left to watch is Gina (personal preference of who I find enetertaining on the podcast). I always liked the interactions between David and Boze. Hope to see her a lot more here.
I get what the pageant chick was saying. I've read the same things throughout my spiritual journey as well, but so much more context and compassion is needed esp on social media. The idea is that before we physically make our way to this earth we have a 'soul contract'. It is about who we want our parents to be, what our lives to look like, what we need to learn to move into a higher level of consciousness, what struggles and adversity we are going to experience etc. I've always been an old soul and have been told that I didn't need to be here (in the context of a spiritual conversation). I understood that to mean that my purpose is to help elevate the consciousness of the earth. I'm 'old' I've 'been here before', but I have come back as a black woman for a purpose. The world at this moment in time is operating at a level of unsustainability. The wealth gap, Covid, Racial Tension, Job Loss, Health care concerns, Over policing, are all part of us operating in an unsustainable matter. Coming back to black people, we have always been fighters, many of the strongest black americans are the descendants of slaves and were bred to be here, to survive and do this work. For being a 'hated' race of people we can also bring people together (see the protests, music, art, our culture, entertainers, sports icons, legends) (Read today June 4th Stoic- from the Daily Stoic). She shouldn't have put that shit out there like that though. Saying someone chose to be black without any context or awareness is a recipe for disaster.
BOOOOZEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hell yeah. It's insane the amount of bad takes have surfaced from this, 2020 really opening up peoples eyes. I love GeniusBrain, it's one of those podcasts that helps me adjust my own limited perspective SO MUCH
We’re tired of the apologies. If we have to think 3x before getting behind the wheel, jogging down the street, and purchasing candy to avoid being killed-think 2x before speaking with negative intent
Please please please have boze on here more often!!! Your chemistry is amazing. And shes not on big mood enough tbh. Lol I think I just want more boze content :)
WOW yall really went all over the place, racism, friendship, red flags, Romans... Anyway what yall said about your fanbases and your communities and how we (the fans) follow you and subscribe to you is because we see things that we want to emulate and that is sooo true, I've also learned a lot about who I want to be and what I find most comforting and attractive in human beings, love that you said that
I’m so happy David covered this because when I read her IG story ... DISAPPOINTED but i was mostly SO CONFUSED...... like I was sitting there in my living really thinking 🤔 to myself what on earth did she mean by all this ???? COMO??!?!? I was really sitting there thinking about it for 2 days.... and I just can’t .... I’m glad people like these are being exposed

DAVID can i learn u something. saying this with all love and have been a long-time follower not that that has anything to do with the following. looting and violence is necessary. fighting for peace has never been peaceful. after 6 days of violent rioting and protesting, the civil rights act was passed which allowed for my parents to come to america (they hold their own racist views). when politicians have to start paying for things, they will pass laws to start change. not to mention the undercover cops also destroying property and white supremacists looting as well (receipts in google). boze did a great job and im really glad you brought a black woman on your podcast as they are who we should be listening to for the revolution. hell we have witches, the amish, anon, and the crips/bloods working together. TRULY a revolution. anywho all love to you david and keep doin you
The country is like this because of how it was built and because people dont see each other as equal....maybe we will have unity and be able to come together when everyone is mixed up
she was trying to speak about spirituality and past lives and the belief that people tend to choose the lives they will reincarnate based on the challenges to grow as a person and learn lessons........ Not everyone believes this! and the fact that she said that as a way of educating or trying to be positive in this day and time is a 😠😠😠😡 i agree with you both.
On the topic of Philando Castille, I wanna mention that you should look into Dave Grossman and his police training. Honestly they need regular podcasts with Boze. They bounce of each other really good. Never feels like an hour podcast.

As a Malaysian we don’t claim her 😪😪 her soul can choose somewhere else in the universe to represent.

Let's not bucket all Asians. I think that Filipinos, Indians, and surprisingly Japanese are ok with black people.

The Will and Jada thing was debunked she actually said they didn't have an open relationship.
Damn right! Better check the Red Table Talk where Will came on and they cleared the air!
They said they weren't swingers but still not monogamous, right
And now we they are engaged in entanglements
She DOESN'T represent Malaysia at all!
