Just finished the "Shadow Academy" arc and started reading the "Diversity Alliance" book arc. Was debating on skipping the rest and read New Jedi Order, but figured I continue. Hearing good things about the Diversity Alliance set gets me interested as well.
The Young Jedi Knights are what launched my Love for Star Wars into the Stratosphere when they were released. Them being released from 95-98 put me right in the target demographic and I followed Jacen, Jaina, Lowbacca, and everyone else from then on to the conclusion of a certain characters story (I’ll let you guess who). Phenomenal Series of Novels that captured my attention all the way from The Courtship of Princess Leia to Invincible. I consider this the Proper post-Original Trilogy Canon and the fact that Disney had this roadmap and an excuse to Print Money and said “Nah ‘THE MESSAGE’ is more important let’s piss of most of our fans” is one of the dumbest things any group of people has ever done on the face of this Planet. If I’d been in consideration for the role of Disney Lucasfilm President for my interview I just would have set down, in order, Courtship to Invincible and said to George “THIS, but with the needed changes to convert it best to the Visual Medium.” I would have made Disney TRILLIONS of dollars but alas…
