Alger Hiss was guilty but the statute of limitation had expired when he testified before congress. The Rosenbergs were also guilty. I'm a boomer progressive in California. I didn't know I was lied to until my 40s.
Exactly--not only can people see when they're being lied to, but liars pathetically are so woefully self-deceived that they always thiink they're so clever.
Journalism used to aspire to nothing more than WWWWH (Who, what, when, where, and how?) with sometimes a cautious foray into "Why?". That was thrown out in favor of activism. If we can return to WWWWH without the traditional gateways of the past (discarding the limits of airtime and column inches while still retaining the ethical standards), we're onto something new. Especially if the channels can maintain independence and not be overrun by corporate and government interference.
Because she’s extremely thoughtful, articulate and insightful, and has been instrumental in holding a ginormous mirror in the face of the legacy media. How do you not know this??
I was really impressed by Bari's knowledgeable and intelligent comments about Tulsi Gabbard when Joe Rogan had her on his show. What did Hugh say about people on cable acting as though they don't read?
I am happy that I don't have to pay for the content that actually is on Cable. I think I would actually be concerned if either right or left become dominating in the culture. We need not just right views, just left views, but all thoughtful views in a good coversation.
One might check Icheboot's latest episode, in which she crosses into Iraqi Kurdistan from Turkey. It is pleading to see a developed country amid all the wars and strife it has endured. This is our new media, as witnessed by many sources, including brave world travelers like Norali.
Here's the problem. I want traditional media, that is, media big enough and with respect enough to not be seduced by "clicks". I don't want to have to go to guys sitting in their man caves behind their oversized mics whose views approximate mine to get basic news.
My GOD, how stupid for you to feature Weiss, let alone to have her lecture on how to investigate and present an honest press, hilarious, actually. I question your credibility, again, Hewitt.
Give it a rest...national treasure? Get a new meaningless adjective. And PS, she isn't close. She just said Bill amateur is "must" listening. Maher is an uninformed drug addled buffoon.. watch his podcast for evidence.
I subscribed to the free press!!!! 1:09

Hugh please interview Megyn.. best podcast⭐️
I love THE FREE PRESS - recommend it often and Douglas Murray was one of the main reasons I subscribed.
Great interview. I agree that adding more platforms is key to turning the culture war and stemming the tide of disinformation.

Why are you having HER on ?
Because Bari has upended media forever.

I don't think your cornbread is done in the center.
Bari Weiss is awesome. Wonderful risk-taker.
Bari is a national treasure, 900k paid subscribers and growing. proud to be a charter subscriber.

...and a Troll that hasn't the sense to know not providing examples makes your comment worthless.
