      I´m sorry for being harsh, but you´re a fool writing that. These are guys fighting for their lives to pursue a career in this sport, and it is 100% understandable that players in Prihodkos shoes take that point rather than being "sportsmanlike". Secondly, the yell itself, even tough it´s hindrance, did not change anything. So technically, justice was actually done, even though the umpire made a mistake.

      he's right because the ball projects clay towards the back and sides so it doesn't leave place to misinterpretation. the impact is clean to read. when on the side lines, clay is kinda hiding the impact where it's supposed to meet the line. which makes it more difficult to judge. you clearly don't know shit about clay huh? and 15 dummies liked it... priceless.

      For most players when they disagree with the umpire they lose a point or two. For Kyrgios, he loses at least the following set if not the whole match because his small little brain cannot focus on more than one thing and his childlike rage makes that one thing the umpire rather than the match. At this point he’s a professional stroppy toddler, not a tennis player.

    When Paire smashed those 2 balls out of the court for a ball abuse violation, you could see the linesman as well as the ball girl flinch a bit. That was very close to them and could have been dangerous if it had hit her (as she was more in line of the hit). The other one was when Gulbis threw the racket at the net, the ball girl was close (she was so tiny too, she's barely taller than the net). Imagine the racket hitting her. Penalty for gear abuse of this kind needs to be more severe if it is this close to ground staff.

  • @seltaeb9691
    @seltaeb9691 Рік тому +2

    Some of these players ie Gulbis have no respect for the court & the ground staff who look after it. The fury directed at umpires is at times near scary an assault. This is beyond sport & becomes a matter of abuse & players need to be banned from a period of playing. Shameful & out of hand.

    It's been a while since Tsitsipas has been penalized by the chair umpires who apply the rules only for him. Sometimes his father just has to say "Come on" and he gets a code violation and it's so unfair, especially when you see Alcaraz having whole discussions with his box during all his matches but everyone pretends they didn't see it. And as luck would have it, just after his video receiving coaching went viral on social media, they come out with a new rule allowing coaching, because of course we can't punish the new golden boy. This is so ridiculous.

    I'm not much into tennis, but why do they have such ancient ways to tell if a ball is out or not. Seems to be 95% of the problems in tennis that the human calling the shots are doing wrong calls. Why not use one of the cameras filming the whole damn match, like in hockey. Wouldn't been a single wrong point then.

    • @lespaul5734
      @lespaul5734 2 роки тому

      They do use the tech, but not in every tournament. On clay courts like these, the only surface which leaves a mark from a ball, there aren't any cameras. Umpire errors exist but are few on this surface because you can check the mark. On other surfaces like grass or hard courts, there is a replay

      @@cole7726 well that same logic applies to challenges as well.... If he thought it was out... Being clay... As per the rules... He is allowed to ask the umpire to come down and check the mark at any time.. And unlike challenges you can do that any number of times on a clay court

      No it's just hypocrisy. Alcaraz was playing with home crowd and abusing the rules same way Tsitsipas used to do. Coaching too. Way more from Carlo's coach. But crowd doesn't boo him because he's popular and umpire gives warnings only to Tsitsipas and ignores the coaching.

    I actually agree with Kyrgios here, because players do not need the line and the chair umpires to only make really obvious "out" calls, because players could just do that themselves, but if there is a chair umpire and he can't make the correct 50/50 call in the pressure situations then what even is the point of him being there, realistically?

    Its the same story in so many of these. Line calls. Tournaments need to use technology, whether it's Hawkeye Live, or another system. It would completely eliminate those issues. It's a professional sport; the least the tournaments could do, is be professional in their running and officiating. Why is it the players have to be professional, yet the officials can get away with amateur hour? As spectators thousands of miles away, we get to see replays, and Hawkeye, yet the officials don't? Almost every spectator there has a smartphone with a camera ibn their pocket as well; why can't the tournament allow video review of various things, like the timing of a line call compared to when a player hits a shot, or whether there is a not up situation? Why???
