    I quit my job after 20 yrs to go full time as a reseller and I don’t regret it one bit. I am so much happier and LOVE what I’m doing. 💕 Some months are better than others but I won’t turn back. I love working for myself. Love watching your channel.

    Good for you, that's amazing! I just started (not full time), had my first sale on Nov. 1 and have sold about $1700. I'm excited to subscribe to you and watch someone that is in the beginning stages but a little ahead of me! Great motivation!

I do work a full-time job as a house cleaner and I'm raising two children ages five and six therefore I have to do the morning thing preparing them for school and the afterschool thing and preparing them for bed. I sure would love to quit my job because I love love love love love doing this too.

    You're great! I plan on going part time at work as soon as I pass the boards next year to resell. When I go away I usually just prompt whoever buys from me that I won't be able to ship until I return, I have never had anyone ask me to cancel and I always throw in a little something extra for waiting. Keep the videos coming this is so helpful

    My best advice is that you keep your overhead low. I am mainly a shoe reseller and pay anywhere from .25 cents to $10 per pair. Clothes .50 cents. Learn your thrift sales and incentives; you will gain profit.

    just subbed! your my first sub! thanks for the inspiration. i nrecently quit my job of 8 years and started my own renovation business.. it has been going so-so but i am really wanting to get into the online retail market with reselling on ebay and having a store on shopify. i am still very new and buying things to get setup. i have purchased a new camera and a deask to start setting up an office area for posting and cleaned out two rooms of my house for holding inventory and making picture areas etc. but anyways i have definetely used ebay alot in the past but still havent posted my first item yet as my venture into ebay full time. itomorrow is friday and i will be getting up at 6am to go to rummages and goodwills and etc. i will be using this weekend to finish up the office and staging areas and etc and hopefully posting my first 50ish items on monday.. but all in all here goes!

    Are you still selling? Did you open a business account on eBay? Do you have a store or personal account? I’m just starting out & Im not sure how to handle the legal side of it. You’re video is great! Thanks for sharing!!!

  • @sonoranpicker9675

    Another Idea for traveling incase you have to much to take with you is to add a LONG like 10 day handling time to all your items and then send out an email letting people who purchase things know that you are on vacation and in case they didnt notice you have a 10 day handling time. If they want to cancel the sale thats totally ok but if not it will ship out when you get home. 95% will keep the sale and be cool with it a every once in while someone wanted the item right away and will ask to cancel the sale.

    Thats awesome 👍 I only netted $600 my first month. I went from 130 items to almost 300. Second month in, I netted $1600 and at 600 items. Hoping this month I break even from my full time. I had money put back to keep me going. I am hoping to net $60k the 1st year. I'll have a lot of personal expenses falling off me this year which I am glad to get that breathing room

    I'm just starting out too but only have a few items on my account so not a store yet. Can you do a shipping vid? Do you wash items? Do you put clothes in clear poly bags? How do you ship shoes and cost to ship shoes? I kno 99 questions...

    • @kikisha1
      @kikisha1 7 років тому +4

      Yes I would recommend washing the items you are selling (seems more professional, unless you are penny pinching). In regards to using poly bags, unless your margins are good as in 40-70% profit, yes I would unless again cost is the issue. My 2cents =)

      naturegirl2110 how are you doing with ur ebay reselling

    • @mikecamfield
      @mikecamfield 7 років тому +3

      naturegirl2110 you can order a priority "shoe box" off of usps website for free.. I order 25 at a time. If you have your own boxes you can ship them parcel select and it's a little bit cheaper. On average shoes ship anywhere from 9 dollars to 16 dollars depending on weight and distance. Out of my shoes I shipped this week the average cost was 12 dollars and change. All nikes sell well... I sold a pair today for 42.00 plus 11.99 shipping. They cost me 6 dollars at goodwill. I had some converse that sold for 60 dollars last week and they cost 4 dollars... Now these converse had a flame design on them that they don't make anymore but those are things to look for when your shopping.... Converse can because they don't all sell for a lot.... Anyways if u have questions I will try to answer them

    Far be it for a part-time seller like myself (who truly only lists items in the hope of selling them to fund my hobby) to tell you how to run your business. Do you have roommates and/or a husband? The amount of sales you started off with didn't seem like it would be sustainable if you were living by yourself in most cities... I make over $3K profit per month selling online and I still don't want to quit my $50K-60K/Yr. job. I live by myself in a large city, though.

    You did amazing, I think most make 500- 1000 their first month! You have to spend money to make money and sometimes have to pay up for items just how it goes, every month will be different but if you work hard and give it your all, should grow every month.

      What are your tips? I'm new on ebay, about a week now. I've so far got 9 items. A dress, 2 mens shirts and 4 books. I've had a few views on each item, but no watchers or offers. I've paid attention to the description, photos/lighting ect from watching tips on other reseller videos. I guess no one probably trusts my sales, since I have no reviews. Any suggestions? I want buy and add more things, but want to go in the direct direction. I found an awesome Equalizer for a music set up for $10 today. Sales show it at $60-80 used on Ebay. Sorry for the rant. Any help would be appreciated! :)

    You talk about your store, do you actually have one of those stores on eBay or do you just have an eBay account and sell like that? Where do you get your stock, items to sell? Thanks

    I'm curios how January went? I started selling part time in November. Nov & Dec were great. January was about half as much revenue for me with more listings up.

      I think the more you list, eventually ebay increasing the amount you can list a month. Not 100% sure on this though.

    Good job your on your way!
    My first month was one of my best in the first year. Mostly because I sold my best stuff first, most of which took me months to find. So don't be disappointed if this is your best month for a few. My advice for sourcing besides the obvious thrift stores is estate auctions (buy the box lots). And look at the bulk and grab bag items on shopgoodwil dot com. I tried storage auctions but never really did very well, just a lot of junk fit for a garage sale. Wholesale pallets were so so because most stuff on them is common and sells for bottom dollar with a lot of competition. And many items on pallets are broken or incomplete. Some of my biggest mistakes: throwing away things I thought were ugly or worthless without doing my homework, buying things I was sure were valuable and barely breaking even (again homework), and most importantly not doing my books on a monthly basis. Other than that it has provided a comfortable living and I don't regret quitting my job. Thanks.

    When you first list an item do you list as an auction? I used to always list 5 day fixed price w/ best offer first and if they didint sell i would just relist as "good till cancel"

    Thats Pretty Good Not Too Bad At All Keep It Up Having Good Quality Items On Your Ebay With 500 Listings Consistintly Youll Be Able To Scale In Profit Really Well With The Average Of 500 Listings :)
