Discovering L’Epee 1839, A High-end Clock Manufacturer

- In this ever evolving world, clock manufacturing may seem like something from another time, but it encompasses all the very same skills needed for the manufacturing of your favorite watch, plus a little extra! Today, there aren’t that many company in the world that have kept these skills together and it seems courageous to keep doing something a bit complicated to explain, especially to younger generation.
But this is the choice Arnaud Nicolas, the CEO of L’Epée 1839, has made in pursuing the original activity of the company established more than 170 years ago. One can only be respectful of this entrepreneurial stubborn attitude and his willingness to establish this craft in the 21st century. The very active collaboration L’Epée enjoys with MB&F is a really fine example of this and we have seen modern interpretation of your classical table clock in shapes totally new and fresh to the eye with the arrival of Starlet, Melchior, Sherman and more recently Balthazar.

I really liked this but wished it was longer, I'd love to hear about the challenges of the modern industry for L'Epee, the inspiration behind the collab with MB&F etc... these manufacturers are so fascinating that 3 minutes is just never enough time to really understand a brand.

Un stage d'environ un mois pour l'été 2017. Je n'ai pas de qualification particulière en horlogerie mais un stage exécutant où je pourrais découvrir l'horlogerie en travaillant me passionnerai !
