This whole thing amazes me. The ease of disassembly, the immediate fault finding, the reworking...even the pin sharp close up videography is top class!
I would like to say many thanks to you !!! Recently I bought the same model of Rolleicord on Ebay. Overall camera in great condition, but with inaccurate (I could say sticky) slow gear. So after I saw your video, I decided to service shutter myself-simply because I did not find anyone in my city who can deal with that. It was a great success !! And now I'm the owner of a great camera in excellent condition.
I have a Rolleicord model 1 Art Deco. A late relatives family has asked me to look at it to see if it's worth trying to sell. It needs a bit work but everything seems to work.
I hosnestly don't know what amazes me more: that you are able to make a diagnostic so fast, or that you can reshape a 50+ years old spring just like that?
It appears to be a Va model, not the later Vb which it's often confused with, since it has a fixed wlf. Later Vb shares the removable hood system and quick release focus screen with the Rolleiflex E2 onwards/rollei magic, all of them with minor differences inbetween
I recently acquired a Va, it seems to have an issue with the aperture control not working. I don't have much experience with camera repairs, do you have any ideas what it could be?

It promises to be very interesting :)
Where does one go to learn this stuff. Are there manuals? I'd love to learn more but all those tiny pieces 😱
Good to see the inside of one of my cameras 👍
Mine is half a stop fast on shutter otherwise works well.

Lucky someone is keeping me on the straight and narrow...
That's a Va, not a Vb. Interesting to see you work on a Rolleicord. I have a couple.
True I made the same comment. Wonder why so many confuse the two :) except for shady Ebay sellers trying to sell it for more than it's worth
