Not sure if you still check comments on the older videos but just want to say that as someone who only very recently picked up violin and has 0 music training or preparation and not enough money for a teacher your videos are a god send, the best I've seen on youtube.
I like it how you applied the paradiddle exercise. I'm a drummer but I am also learning the fiddle. Also, paradiddle goes "R-L-R-R-L-R-L-L" but here you went "D-D-A-D-A-A-D-A". Am I missing something here? Anyway, thank you always for your nice and clean tutorials!
What I call peri-diddle is the same pattern but it starts at a different point in the pattern, that is it starts on a double note. Drummers traditionally play it as you indicated. I’m going to add that way of practicing it for my students. Thanks Rosseau!
