    This entire show is a fantasy about love. That’s what keeps me coming back. I’m all in for this new plot twist. The word ‘shocking’ is overused, but it exactly applies here. Bring it on!

      Yeah I get that but this storyline ruins the character of master Raymond and mother hildegarde both because it would mean they were okay with switching her baby out and telling her it died or that they were somehow complicit in stealing a child neither of which fits their characters as Diana wrote them at all ! Also to this the hair colours of Jamie and Claire’s daughter Faith and the hair colour of Jane and Fannys mother doesn’t align for Jane and fannys mother to be Claire and Jamie’s daughter : Jamie and Claire’s daughter is like her father Jamie and sister Brianna is a redhead and Jane and fannys mother is a brunette time travel wouldn’t mean you suddenly change the hair colour you’re born with go back and watch season two and episode seven titled faith and you’ll see I’m right also at the end of the episode before they leave Paris there is a scene where they are in front of a grave with Claire having a black veil on a her head and Jamie lays the st Andrew spoon on it saying : let’s leave a piece of Scotland with ye ( st Andrew is the patron Saint of Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿) also later on when Ian tells him of his daughter Isabeal Jamie prays with him saying my daughter will find yours in heaven so there’s that and in book nine someone pointed out that the sachem of the Cherokee tells Claire that a man and a young girl follow her in spirit that would be frank and Faith

      @@MichelleFlood-c7g We haven't seen season 8 yet! I'm confident there will be an explanation. About the hair color, it's not un unusual to be born with one and then for it to change. I was born blond and it changed to brunette. Then about Master Raymond and Mother Hildergard, we don't know the circumstances yet. They probably did their best, what it Master Raymond tried to give Faith back to Claire and Jaime but couldn't?? Anyways, They've made a great show so I trust season 8 will be amazing too ✨️

      @ She might not have actually been dead but on the brink and healed. Master Raymond used magic to heal Claire when she very nearly died of fever, who knows what he might have been able to do for Faith. Book Spoiler even though they aren’t sticking to them:
      Master Raymond is also a traveler from the 1300s who has been to many times and is possibly Claire’s ancestor. He could have also taken Faith, a traveler by blood like her mother and sister, to a time with medical advancements where she could be saved. He might have also either raised her in the future where she learned the song or he taught it to her so that one day she might be able to reunite with her mother and she would know it’s her. I think he came to Claire to apologize for not being able to bring Faith back to her in the end, but now she at least has her granddaughter.

    • @Curlyteacher537
      @Curlyteacher537 22 години тому

      @ The others probably thought she was actually dead and Master Raymond would have needed to take Faith away to save her. Maybe he didn’t want to give her hope if she still died? Don’t forget that Claire was dying of fever at the time so she might not have understood exactly what was happening, unreliable narrator in that situation. It could be that by the time he came to bring her back to Jamie and Claire they had already left France or even Claire had already left that time so he couldn’t bring her back to her.

My feeling is it could have something to do with the Bonnie prince ( Charles Stuart ) and Louise de Rohan because their child would have been born at the same time or soon after faith whose to say she didn’t borrow that name ? Another thing is Claire I think has her TT abilities through the beauchamps her fathers line whose to say it’s not a paternal aunt or relative that is also a time traveller if they are a similiar age to her father it would fit that they’d know the song ?

      It’s actually part of the heirloom apostles spoon set that Jenny Jamie’s sister sends them when she finds out they are pregnant and it’s a very particular spoon that is chosen . It’s the spoon of Saint Andrew that Jamie places as Saint Andrew is the patron saint of Scotland his feast day is November 30 and he is celebrated by all Scot’s on that day . When Jamie lays it he says this : let’s leave a piece of Scotland with ye and leaves It on the stone where she’s buried under it’s in the grounds of les hospital des anges in English the hospital of the angels . It isn’t even Jamie and Claire who name her Faith that is mother hildegarde . I also don’t think when master Raymond comes to her in the dream that he’s meaning he wants her to forgive him because he stole her child I think what he’s meaning is different and that he wants forgiveness for the past and the fact he could only save her and not her child

      Finally someone who sees how stupid this is ! You can’t resuscitate the dead and yes fanny has what’s called a frenulum or tongue tie meaning she kinda lisps as well. She doesn’t speak as clearly as the child in the show does so why have her sing the song what purpose does it serve to make Claire think her child survived when it didn’t the hair colours don’t match up and this song was only released in 1909 which explains how Claire knows it so only a contemporary or a TT living in that time period would even know it they are really going to have to pull something out their arse for it even to resolve itself and that’s going to ruin what little time they have to cover more essential plot than this such as the Mackenzies return to the ridge and the birth of a second son to roger and Brianna little David or wee Davy as Jamie calls him also the rebuilding of the big house and Jenny coming to America all those details are far more important than creating such a stupid storyline that can’t be covered or resolved in what few episodes they have the final season has l only ten episodes you’d need to make them hour and a half or more to cover everything that needs to be and this takes away from that I’m kinda mad because I looked and I don’t think they even mention what Jane and fannys mothers name actually is let alone faith

    Hopefully they got a new wig person. The bad wigs on the other seasons ruined the show!

      This series is a glorified loce story with bits of adventure mixed in and sparks the imagination with the imaginable which captures the thought of what if a person could actually travel in time. All the combined is enough. Now, with this new thing about faith being alive has gone past my wonderland of imagination. Disappointing.
