    Thank you for you video it was a great learning experience, as I am currently trying to learn morse and you adding the characters helps with identification while listening....hope to catch you on a spot one day 73 de kl4kf

    Cool video. It looks like you didn't mention sota or peak designator, is that standard practice?
    I am but a lowly technician, sorry if it's a silly question. I am testing for general soon and am thinking about getting into CW. Seems like a lot of work.

      It's not a requirement for the qso so on CW most skip it unless it's a summit to summit (which I left off the video) or someone asks. Almost everyone finds you from a spot which includes the reference so they already know where you are. Good luck on the General, CW is awesome and well worth learning if you're going to do SOTA.

    Looks like you need a better antenna. You have the tuner in line and the SWR is still too high.
    But it looks like you had a fun day. KU3X

      I did have fun! No, the antenna works great. I was very new to the KX2 and hadn't gotten the routine down yet, forgetting to retune when changing bands, etc.
