Ain’t it the truth…. I was doing all the things: praying, reading, fasting, seeking, worshipping Jesus. One day I encounter God’s voice saying: “Return to me.” I was gooped, floored. 😅 when I asked him to help me return to him, it’s led to a complete overhaul of my life, emotions, etc and complete surrender to the Lord and total reliance on the Holy Spirit. The stretching and pruning & the clean up is REAL!! It’s no joke. We need Him. Total reliance to God’s glory. Stand in his strength. He’s got us. 🌷 Isaiah 54:16-17 🤍
"And I looked, and arose and said to the nobles, to the leaders, and to the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.” (Nehemiah 4:14 NKJV) Much like Satan and other demons (enemies) keep knocking on our temple doors trying to stir up evil trouble, the enemies of Israel in the book of Nehemiah kept trying to make Nehemiah and the other Israelites who were building the wall of Jerusalem to stop doing the good work of building the wall. Nehemiah says that we're not only fighting for ourselves; we're fighting for our brothers and sisters, our sons and daughters, our fathers and mothers. If we believers who are alive today don't have children or grandchildren yet, then we're fighting for our future descendants who will be part of our legacy. Nehemiah says "Remember the Lord," because being afraid leads to forgetfulness. If we remember that God is a legacy-builder, a generational-curse-crusher, then we won't sin, because we will remember that the enemy is tempting us or attacking us, because God intends to use us for great and amazing things in the present and future, much like God was using Nehemiah to build the wall of Jerusalem. Also, we are fighting the good fight of faith for the other Christians in our churches and Holy Bible study life-groups. My Bible study group meets on Wednesday nights, but the devil saves his more powerful temptations and attacks for Monday afternoon, or Friday night, or something like that, when I least expect it. But it has helped me to remember that I must resist the devil every day, because Sunday (church day) and Wednesday (life-group day) will come again, and I must be holy and blameless, otherwise my brothers and sisters won't get the best version of me. Of course first and foremost, I (we Christians) must submit to God and resist the devil for God's glory. In the 2003 film "Master and Commander: Far Side of the World," one of the officer's commits suicide, because he thinks he's cursed the ship and the crew, much like Jonah cursed the ship he was on. The point I'm trying to make is that officer never became the man he hoped to be; he became deceived and ultimately drowned himself. The sobering thing is that even us Christians who are alive today can make choices that can ruin our lives, much like Samson, and like you mentioned in this message, like Cain, who murdered Abel. Samson was a believer, but he still chose to live ungodly. I think the devil wants Christians to live like Samson, where we are saved, but our lives are never in order and where we're stuck in addictions or in other kinds of sin, so t's great that you're doing Cup of Christ. The devil can make himself an angel of light, and can even pretend to be the Holy Spirit, so believers must test the spirits and test all things. In the book of Nehemiah, the enemies of Israel were trying various things to cause the good work to stop: making Nehemiah afraid, manipulating him into sin, accusing him of rebellion, hiring spies to tell him lies, straight up threatening him, etc. (Holy Bible book of Nehemiah) The devil tries the same things today, and other evil things like this the devil tries, but just like God wanted the wall of Jerusalem to be built, God wants us to be sanctified; our sanctification is God's will (1 Thessalonians 4:3) -- God wants us to be built up a spiritual house, totally conformed into the image of Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 2:4-7) The devil and demons will never stop knocking on our temple doors on this present earth. Remembering that I am fighting the good fight of faith for more than just myself is what is helping me right now the most. For example, there is a work Christmas party tomorrow afternoon, and I know that some of my coworkers are believers, which means I absolutely cannot sin today, as much as depends on me; I absolutely must do everything within my power to be holy and not to sin, so that I can be the best version of myself tomorrow, for the glory of God and for my brothers and sisters in Christ. Some of them may need the anointing God has placed upon me and within me. Some of them may need exhortation. Some of them may need prayer. Some of them may need wisdom. ALL of them will need protection from the devil, because the enemy will most likely be there in some form or fashion, trying everything to do evil and tempt others to do evil. And if I stretch that concept out further into the future, I must not sin today, tomorrow, and the next day, and the next week, and the next month, etc, etc, because I don't want to negatively affect the good things that God wants to do in my future. With that being said, sufficient for the day is the evil/trouble thereof, so I will stay focused on today. I needed this today. I have cried out to the Lord asking for him to renew my faith I know he will. As I struggle to provide for my children Lord grant me strength. I stay in the word, have literally memorized entire Bible chapters.. yet lately I have gone through stacked up storms and slowly began to develop an "Amazon prime" type of faith ( expecting quick answers) as circumstances began to pile up... I got so caught up in them, rather than remembering who I am in Christ.. He is Amazing.. I've always wanted to be involved for a long time but the volatility in the price has been very confusing to me. Although I have watched a lot of UA-cam videos about it but I still find it hard to understand.
I love this gal and what she preaches. She is strong and I absolutely love what she preaches and how she is the warrior of god. With that said, I disagree. The devil can summon demons to posses a believer and follower of Christ. I know this for an absolute fact because I have done an exorcism. And not like what you see on the TV. The closer one gets with god, the harder satan works to take you down and possibly poses you. That’s why it is absolutely crucial to continue to live in Christ shoes and obeying our eternal father. Now with that said, this influencer is absolutely a warrior of god and a true follower of Christ and her messages are absolutely powerful. We are all growing and progressing everywhere in life and are all continuously learning even her. I promise you, Satan can and will do everything he can to destroy us, however, he is only strong enough to hurt our heal, when we are strong enough to crush his head.
