If you were going by the anime, then you should have a longer time limit for gear 2 since this is obviously based post time-skip which means he has better control over gear 2, therefore meaning he has more time.

ITS BC with IT you can fly and regenerate your wounds and basicly BE fire and ITS usefull because you can't BE hited by any one with Out haky and even If you get a series wounds that can Change your live badly then it will BE gone because of the regeniration
ability idea: instead of just having a diffrent attack you activate the gear then your attacks change accordingly
Well I'm assuming you don't watch one piece each gear have different attacks base form being normal gear second same names but every attack is gumo gumo jet pistol jet axe kr battle axe is it so each gear do change attack but gear third is kinda just an attack no ability I don't remember if there is cause I'm reading manga and it's been a long while since Luffy used gear third

When you are in gear 4 and use gigantic pistol It looks like king Kong gun!
This has been bothering me for awhile. When you kill the dragon and they manage to get the egg killing them doesn't do much as they still have it when they respawn. The fight for the egg in the end would feel more important if they had to actually reach the portal to escape with it and killing them when they have it makes them drop it. Just a random thought.

You can generally find a water monument the same way as the woodland mansion. Actually unlock it sooner with the same villager. You can unlock it before you get the woodland mansion one

I don't know. I think you were too over powered for the Navy. In the series from what I remember, he didn't have it that easy with the Navy. He kept coming up against stronger characters all the time.
Learned a lot though. Gears, special powers, guy with skull face. I only got as far as the fighting at island base after they met that centaur guy and traveled across the ocean water on a train. I didn't get to see the end of that part of the series. I missed a few episodes before that part as well. Hope to be able to finish watching entire series one day.

Luffy is not the strongest, sharp objects or swimming in seawater is still some of his major weaknesses. Aswell as Captain Smoker his smoke ability. Then there is his super guillible behaviour.

Okay so I noticed that @35:32 was the chest that he got his final god apple, and he said that he needed one more echo shard. but @35:35 he went back to the same chest and pulled out an echo shard. I noticed its the same chest because of all the items in it are the same. even the diamond horse armor. It was posted at a different angle. I also don't understand how could a slime do more damage to him then the people that's chasing him.

yes there is a way to find monuments faster, u need to do the same trick as you do with finding mansions but when u reach the mansion map upgrade the villager once more then u can trade for a monument map. hope this helps :)
