Love it. I just picked up the new Kala solid body and can't put it down! Great video Gregor! 🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸
Perfekt "Do widzenia" Gregor! Viele Grüße aus Polen!
Looks and sounds like a must have ❤❤❤❤
I clicked on the notification and the app opened UA-cam but didn’t link me to this video. I had to manually find it in the channel!
I have a standard Cali 4, it’s a nice mini bass and I love it! It’s hard to play due to the fret distance, as you said!
metal guy playing mini bass. thats music to my eyes
I'm excited to a see a full review of the upcoming Mayones pre-amp and Li-Ion in-guitar battery and headphone amp in their 2024 bass lineup! Hopefully that video is coming soon!
Great review as always! Which octave pedal did you use? I use my Cali-4 with a current-version OC-5 on the "vintage" setting and that seems to do the trick but curious about other options.
Hello, Bass The World, can you demo and provide more info on the new, Kemper Profiler Player pedal
Dzięki, do widzenia!
What's the tuning on these? It seems to be higher than a regular bass.
@@GuyDeaux EADG with a custom 30-82 string set, octave up from a regular bass.
Any link to buy it? Looks awesome
NICE ,BUT I LIKE THE BIG ONES GREGOR
They’re so cool but the price is absurd.
These look fantastic! Need a more affordable type of bass like this
There’s a Harley Benton uke bass that is much cheaper, but it’s not fretless
Its cool. Not sure I would do with it though.
Yeeeaaaah this is a big ol' miss.
Getting the intonation properly on these seems tough and you can hear Ilja was struggling as well, I would say these kind of basses should remain fretted since they're already a very specific niche to begin with, so now you're making that niche even more of a niche.
And in general, to put it in perspective, these basses are expensive compared to what you can get for the same price.
I'd say this kind of stuff is something people who have lots of money to burn would buy, and for sure there's plenty of people out there with money to burn, I just think Mayones should focus on better things than these toys. Just my 2 cents though.
With the "focus on better things", the whole idea is that these are made from wood pieces that were too small to make a full bass from, so it's not like they're taking resources (besides time) that would otherwise have gone elsewhere
But it's also even more niche than that, cause "what you can get for the same price" is... an actual bass. These are an octave up, so you quite literally can't "fill the bassist role" with it - you'd have to want one for its own sake (which some people evidently do)
I have a gorgeous purple Cali4 and it’s frickin amazing! I will be taking it to my grave as I have just been informed that I have stage 3 kidney failure.
Love these but my bank account won't let me get one yet.
1:50 THE LICC??
Wie cool ist das denn?
fretless less than 28inch with standard tuning has very floppy string tension and short sustain
I`ve played several of these. They feel like a regular bass from the 12th fret up.
Can I have one?
Und was zahlt man für so ein Schnuckelchen?
👍👌
No... lol 😂
1:51 the lick
Oh yeah!
