Еще больше удивляет, что их большое количество проживает в Намибии и Ботсване, где климат засушливый с пустынями и полупустынями. Значит там кормовой базы для слонов хватает. Трудно представить, что в старину их было значительно больше и ареал их обитания был значительно больше по площади.

I saw some herds of elephants in Botswana it was unbelievable! So majestic and frankly gigantic creatures!!!
Elephants is Southern Zimbabwe and Northern parts of Botswana often cross between the two countries depending on wheather and seasons.
