The last Great Recession forced me to sell all my gear to make ends meet. I had guitars, basses, drums you know it. Fast forward a couple years, I’m married, got a baby, a house in Dallas, and a bit of money in my pocket. Mike, Tom, Yuri, your music kept my spirits up during that tough time. My wife knew all I had to give up, so she bought me a guitar, and the first thing I did was slap an MXPX sticker on it. Thanks Mike for keeping the tunes going man! They do more than just entertain, they can navigate.
Damn dude. I feel you on this one. I remember when I stooped lower than paying for gas with quarters and had to use pennies and nickels just to get gas so I could get to my job. Also sold my guitars and amps. Fast forward and I’m married with 3 kids. Never got a guitar again though. 😞 Still blessed 🙏
hey, welcome to dallas....were glad to have ya. fun-fuh-fuh Farmersville! I first heard MXPX on the old 94.5 edge. I think josh had a Sunday show I heard while waiting for my folks to quit talking at church.
I had 15 guitars 3 vintage keyboards 1 vintage amp and 1 vintage drumset and a psychotic girlfriend... I ran for my life and never went back for my gear.
Four years ago I had the lyric “I may be lost, but I’m not hopeless” Tattooed on the back of my shoulder. That’s when I lost my mother to breast cancer, and she was my everything and when she passed away, I felt like I was lost and hopeless with out her. That small lyric really resonated with me.
Good song, good singer, I love that acoustic version ! and It away amazed me how good can be a song with only 3 or 4 chords... same chords on doing time, acces up.. and for each song, a specific melody, specific mood, specific vibe, make each song unique... thanks Mike and MXPX for all those amazing songs !
24 years of being a fan, i finally get to be the first comment! love this band, so much history of my life... "So many memories come down to this... well, i may be lost, but I'm not hopeless"

Without a window to see through,
I did my time, in here without you,
Slept on the floor down in the LEC,
Meet me back home and do the mocking.
It seems like misery loves misery,
My favourite songs they keep me company,
So many memories come down to this,
I maybe be lost but I'm not hopeless.
I heard that sound a mile away
I heard that sound a mile away
All those things i wish that i could say
I heard that sound a mile away
A mile away
Came in like static off the tv,
This kinda thing over goes easy,
I meant to tell you but you were gone,
I tried to get it right, i got it all wrong
I heard that sound a mile away
I heard that sound a mile away
All those things i wish that i could say
I heard that sound a mile away
A mile away
Sat outside the show,
With nowhere else, nowhere else to go
Don't say "can't see"
It sure does sound, get to me
Don't save yourself....get to me
(Whoa oa) Na Na Na Na Na
Get to you....get to me
I heard that sound a mile away
I heard that sound a mile away
All those things i wish that i could say
I heard that sound a mile away
A mile away
A mile away

anyone knows what chewing gum does mike eat?
metal piercings chew ... buy it at the neon stores
THAT'S GREAT, MIKE!!!
Anyone have the chord progression for this?
Erik Von Wolfenstein relative to the capo looks like he’s playing the standard issue E, B5, Dbm, A and letting the high E ring out on the chorus.
@@gozer432 his guitar is also tuned a half step down. Standard tuning would be capo one.
I V vi IV. The most common one ever (not saying the song is bad, the lyrics are great).
